Starring on The Bachelorette Australia was both a positive and negative experience for Ivan Krslovic.
The dancer became a viewer favourite during Ali Oetjen’s season for trying to blend two whole avocados. But later, on Bachelor In Paradise, he came under fire for his possessive behaviour.
Here, the aspiring dancer, 29, tells TV WEEK why he’s after a third shot at TV success – and what it was like performing in front of his newest fan, Nicole Scherzinger!
Why Australia’s Got Talent?
I thought it would be a chance for me to showcase what I actually want to do with my career.
Did you have any reservations?
A lot. But because AGT is a different type of show, I decided to give it a go. The last time I was on TV, it set me back with my personal brand and the direction I wanted to go, so this was a way to start my redemption.
What was it like dancing for Nicole?
That was a massive highlight. She’s achieved a lot. And, with her being from America, where I want to eventually end up, it was awesome to perform in front of her. And it helps that she’s a babe too!
Are you still single?
I’m still single! I’ve been dating normal girls, who haven’t been on a reality TV show, and it’s been refreshing. There was some backlash after Paradise, but there have been people who’ve had my back and come to my defence. It was disappointing, but it was an opportunity to grow. I’ve taken it as an opportunity to better myself.
You’ve said you’d love to star on a soap. Have you had any luck so far?
I’m still working on that. I’ll never stop acting and dancing. I’ll keep on training and improve on my craft, and go to any auditions that pop up in the future.
