This week it was announced in the absolute best way possible that Aussie power couple Hamish and Zoe Foster Blake would be soon welcoming their second child together.
Naturally, the country exploded with congratulatory messages and well wishes for the loved-up pair as they continue to grow their picture perfect family, but no one could possibly have been more excited than soon-to-be big brother, Sonny, who after almost three years, will finally have a little sibling to run amok with.
Fans of the radio host and author will no doubt know Sonny to be the absolute apple of his parents’ eyes – the duo appear to share a near-constant stream of Instagram snaps guaranteed to induce a fit of giggles.
That’s right, Zoe and Hamish love to poke fun the toddler’s facial expression, enthusiastic eating, “croissant” shaped legs and his general disinterest in most things.
It’s all in good humour, of course, and there’s no denying they love Sonny to the moon and back, but Australia’s golden couple aren’t ones for taking anything too seriously nor do they pretend that they’ve got parenting down to a fine art.
So, to celebrate their joyous news, we’ve rounded up some of Sonny’s most memorable moments. Come his 21st, they won’t be short of material, that’s for sure!
Speaking out for the first time about he and his wife’s good news (and hilarious announcement), Hamish told TheFIX, “I couldn’t be happier. And also, it is so nice for Zo and Beyoncé to go through this journey together. I look forward to chatting to Jay Z at length about how we can support our ladies.”
Sonny Blake
Sonny Donald Blake is the first child of the media power couple. The duo, who married in 2012, welcomed Sonny on Mother’s Day in 2014.
Who could forget that time Hamish made a lifes-size carbohydrate model of his son. “This is what happens when you notice your sons legs kind of look like croissants and you have a fair bit of left over bread around the house and also a spare hour….”
Sonny is all of us trying to sneak a taste of the cake at a friend’s birthday party. “The Undetected Pre Party Cake Nibble: a skill we’re going to have to work on,” wrote dad Hamish, 35.
Sonny has his eyes on the fries.
Since welcoming her little man, Zoe deems the best part of motherhood to be “the sense of purpose and intense love zinging between Sonny, myself and my husband.” Zoe talks all things motherhood in the next slide!
Zoe Foster Blake: On Her Kids Growing Up
While on a family holiday to Sicily, muma Zoe shared this adorable snap of her son alongside his daddy Hamish with the hilarious caption: “One of them was definitely doing a wee.”
The cutest little librarian we ever did see!
Like many little ones in the first few years of life, Sonny doesn’t exactly care for Santa Claus. “Successmas,” wrote the doting mum on Instagram. That final close-up shot is everything.
Sometimes, you only have one thing on your mind… “When you think you’re having a beautiful moment on the beach but the person you’re with is purely focused on eating the picture of an ice cream you have on your t shirt,” Hamish joked.
“I [Zoe] usually prefer the stripper kind of firey, but this one’s pretty cute I guess. #fireyfriday,” Zoe shared of her pint-sized savior.
How did Sonny go on his first date? “When you promised your lady a Pimms and the waiter tells you they’re only serving wine and beer,” recapped the radio host.

Hamish Blake Shares Adorable Video Of Son
“First haircut a success! Now for the perm and a few youthful highlights!”
Sonny’s expression speaks for itself after his parents flew off to New York, returning only with this novelty hat. “Mum and Dad went to NYC and all I got was this shitty hat and lifelong abandonment issues.”
Is family goals a thing?
“A good pirate always keeps one hand on his sword, and two cheeks on his chin,” the 36-year-old shared alongside this lol-worthy snap.

Mum and bub share a mid-swim snuggle.
That feeling when you’re too short for the big slide…
“High on gelato and life and Italy and gelato and granita and gelato,” muma Zoe wrote alongside this candid moment from the family’s Italian getaway.
We can ALL relate to this post from mum Zoe… “You’d be sad too if you were 10 months old and your brand new size 12-18 month overalls were already too tight.”
Like father, like son! These two are definitely cut from the same cloth.
What put such a wide smile on Sonny’s face? “Telling each other fart jokes would be my guess,” suspects Zoe.
We bet Sonny can’t wait to get up to all sorts of mischief with his little brother or sister.
Congratulations to our favourite soon-to-be family of four!
