As difficult as placing third was, as she lost out to ‘Golden God’ David Genat, a much greater gift would come to Moana and her wife, Isabella Carlstrom, not long after the show.

After tying the knot in November 2019, Moana departed for Survivor just days later.

And not long after returning home, the newlyweds began their journey to starting a family.

In May, the happy couple took to Instagram to announce they were expecting their first child.

“We are going to be MUMS,” a delighted Moana captioned a series of photos of the couple and their ultrasound picture.

“I don’t yet have the words to fully explain how happy we are. It’s a dream come true for us and in November we get to meet our little person.”

Moana revealed she and Isabella had undergone IVF to fall pregnant.

“From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank @monashivf and the team for everything you have done to support us. You have helped make this dream a reality. Holding this in for 13 weeks has been so bloody hard. My heart is exploding.”
