We can’t thank Pink enough for her beautifully honest admission about post-baby bodies.
Taking to Instagram, the mother-of-two shared an inspired message about the incredible way she feels just three months on from welcoming son Jameson Moon Hart.
Levelling with all the mummys out there on a mission to reach their goal weights, Pink wrote: “Would you believe I’m 160 pounds [72.5kg] and 5’3 [160cm]? By ‘regular standards’ that makes me obese.”
Beside a snap of her working out and looking stronger than ever in the gym, she continues: “I know I’m not at my goal or anywhere near it after Baby 2 but dammit I don’t feel obese.
“The only thing I’m feeling is myself. Stay off that scale ladies! #feelingmyself #strongismygoal #bodygoals”
You go, girl!
The Heart Foundation’s BMI calculator puts Pink in the ‘overweight’ category. A woman of her height has a suggested healthy weight range of 47kg to 64kg.
It’s not the first time she’s defended her weight following public scrutiny.
In 2015, she was forced to address a bunch of internet trolls who felt compelled to comment on her red carpet appearance at the John Wayne 30th Annual Odyssey Ball, rather than the admirable cause she was there to support.
“I can see that some of you are concerned about me from your comments about my weight. You’re referring to the pictures of me from last night’s cancer benefit that I attended to support my dear friend Dr. Maggie DiNome,” she wrote on Twitter at the time.
“She was given the Duke Award for her tireless efforts and stellar contributions to the eradication of cancer. But unfortunately, my weight seems much more important to some of you. While I admit that the dress didn’t photograph as well as it did in my kitchen, I will also admit that I felt very pretty. In fact, I feel beautiful,” she continued.
The 37-year-old finished her powerful address with a message to her fans, kindly asking they mind their own business.
“So, my good and concerned peoples, please don’t worry about me. I’m not worried about me. And I’m not worried about you either. I am perfectly fine, perfectly happy, and my healthy, voluptuous and crazy strong body is having some much deserved time off. Thanks for your concern.”
Sending all the praise-hand emojis to our hero.
