They’re arguably (read: definitely) reality TV’s cutest family, and now Matthew “Matty J” Johnson and Laura Byrne have officially upped the ante by welcoming their second child!
The Bachelor power couple took to Instagram to announce the news of their newest arrival – a baby girl!
“Lola Ellis Johnson.. you had us all fooled! Everyone from your Mum, your Nana, the neighbour and even the postman thought you were going to be a boy,” Matty wrote alongside a gorgeous first snap of the bub.
” Playing pranks on us all already.. I love it! I also love that I’m now well and truly outnumbered by 3 beautiful and rambunctious girls at home. Welcome to the family. ❤️”
Laura shared her own gushing post about her new daughter, which was of course sprinkled with her classic sense of humour.
“Welcome to the world my precious little Lola Ellis Johnson,” the now mum of two began.
“I said I would eat my own poop if you were a girl, and yet HERE YOU ARE! Already teaching me the worldly life lessons that come with being a mama – such as, just because I feel something to be true (in my waters) doesn’t mean it is and not to make promises to @matthewdavidjohnson that I 100% do not intend on keeping.
“You are perfection. You are dynamite. We love you and your 95 percentile head endlessly.”

“I recon we’ve kept this little beach ball under wraps for long enough….. Half way to number 2,” she wrote.
She comically added: “A big shout out to @matthewdavidjohnson for his contribution 😂”

Matty also took to his Instagram platform to share the news, adding a photo of his daughter pulling a face and writing: “Marlie-Mae learning shocked face couldn’t have been timed any better.. WE’RE HAVING A BABY!”
He also added a little warning: “Please brace yourself for twice the amount of dad jokes.”

(Instagram)After falling in love on Matty J’s season of The Bachelor in 2017 the couple announced just over a year later they were expecting their first child, Marlie-Mae.
During their babymoon in April 2019, spent in Fiji, Matty finally popped the question to Laura to which she, of course, said YES!
Announcing the news via Instagram Matty captioned the video posted to his account: “There’s absolutely no one else I’d rather grow old and senile with. I can’t wait to start a family together and now I can’t wait to be your husband! ❤️💍”
She said YES!

Even during Laura’s first pregnancy with Marlie-Mae, the mum-to-be was super candid, ensuring she shared the realness of the experience alongside some of the lighter moments.
“I was one of those annoying peacocky pregnant ladies who said things like ‘pregnancy is bliss, it’s breezy easy so far’ and now I can’t touch my toes, or breathe, and every burp could very well be a surprise spew,” she shared in one Instagram post.
