They’re already the proud parents to eight-month-old daughter Tullulah and now, Jesinta Franklin and her AFL husband Lance “Buddy” Franklin are adding to their brood with the model confirming she’s 18 weeks pregnant with her second child.
The 29-year-old addressed the pregnancy speculation on Thursday evening, during an Instagram live session with Vida Glow founder Anna Lahey.
“It was a very big surprise for us. Tullulah will be getting a sibling at the end of March next year so she will have just turned one,” she explained.
”I’ll have a 13-month and a newborn, which was very daunting at first.”
Despite taking four years to fall pregnant with Tullulah, Jesinta admitted the second time around was much easier with the couple finding out they were expecting just a week after Buddy travelled up to Queensland to be in the AFL hub.
“It was very hard to conceive the first time with Tullulah, and for this [pregnancy] to be such an unplanned surprise is a blessing,” she said.
“I had the moment that I wish for with Tullulah, where you pee on a stick and it’s such a surprise and it’s very exciting,” she added, alluding to her past fertility struggles.
With two little ones to look after in 2021, Jesinta says her priorities have changed although she has a few “exciting projects in the pipeline.”
“[I am] just being mum and changing nappies, cleaning the house and folding clothes, reading stories and all those things,” she added.
The Daily Telegraph first reported her pregnancy at the start of the month.
“It is exciting news but early days,” a source told the publication.
“Buddy and Jesinta are very happy,” the insider added.
