Erin Molan has shared some very exciting news live on-air… she’s expecting her first child with fiancé Sean Ogilvy.
The Channel Nine presenter made the announcement on Friday evening’s 9NEWS.
“Sean and I are very blessed and very excited to announce, I guess, that we are having a child, which is slightly terrifying but beautiful news,” Erin told newsreader — and new Today co-host — Georgie Gardner.
Georgie later shared the happy news with her Instagram followers, uploading a picture of herself pointing toward the beloved journalist’s growing baby bump.
She captioned the picture: “Hugest of congratulations to the fabulous @erin_molan who’s having a baby!! Woohoo!!”
Erin and fiancé Sean have been together for over a year.
Erin, 35, announced her engagement — again, live on-air — some seven months.
The much-speculated announcement, made during an episode of The Footy Show, was met with cheers from the show’s studio audience, surprise confetti cannons and a large arrangement of white roses.
“It was really, really lovely, I’m the luckiest girl on the world,” she said.
“It happened last Sunday morning and it was really special and I’m just really excited that now I can just let myself go,” she joked with her fellow hosts, before adding: “I don’t have to try anymore, I’m not shaving my legs.”
Erin, who has been in a relationship with policeman Sean for more than a year, admitted that planning for their “small” and “intimate” family-focused wedding was already underway.
“I had checked out some venues about three hours after he proposed, and about six months before he proposed I booked in some things,” she said.

Taking to Instagram after the announcement, Erin shared a detailed look at her stunning engagement ring — a split shank design, which features a whopping oval-cut centre stone encircled with two halos of smaller diamonds.
She captioned the image: “Last week the love of my life pre-wifed me… I can finally let myself go 😜 Couldn’t be happier. Luckiest girl in the world xxx”
