My Kitchen Rules contestant, Ash Pollard, has never been one for boring.
So when the bubbly and outspoken now radio host announced she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Peter Ferne, live on-air, she did so in a slightly unconventional way.
The 34-year-old gifted her Hit 101.3 breakfast co-host, Daniel “Gawndy'”Gawned a box, which she had him unwrap blindfolded.

Asking her co-host what he thought the object was, he guessed correctly but, she also asked him to smell the unknown object.
“It smells like nothing, like plastic,” he said.
Oh dear.
”Baby Ferne due September,” Ash wrote on Instagram.
(Image: Instagram / @ashpollard__)Finally Gawndy was allowed to remove his blindfold to discover he was, in fact, correct, it was a pregnancy test. But, it took the host a few moments to put the facts together.
“What does it say?” Ash asked him.
“Well there’s one and a half lines on there,” he said.
C’mon Gawndy, catch on.
When he did finally ask who’s it was, Ash revealed: ‘It’s mine! I’m pregnant!’
While it did take him a while, the reaction was worth the wait; Gawndy was over the moon for Ash. Queue the confetti (literally)!
The reality star, who has appeared on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and MKR, has reportedly been dating boyfriend Peter, a builder from Melbourne, since 2017.
Ash beamed about the new romance in an Instagram post that same year.
“I nabbed myself a guy. I bloody got him! He’s out of this world,” she wrote.
“Can you even believe it?! I pinch myself more times than I’d care to admit, cos I can’t even believe he’s real (and mine). Oh 2017, you bloody beauty.”
We can’t wait to meet their baby!
