Chris “Burr” Martin or as he has become known online Selfie Dad is not like a regular dad – he’s a Cool Dad.
Almost a year ago to the day, Burr posted a photo onto his daughter Cassie’s Facebook page.
While your dad posting on your Facebook wall would be bad enough, this photo was something … extra.
Burr had started to recreate Cassie’s selfies, and the results were hilarious.
This was the first selfie that was shared, perfect, right down the crown of leaves.
Luckily Cassie is a rather cool daughter herself and got right into all of the fun, sharing the selfies onto her own Instagram account.
It wasn’t long until the duo began to rise to social media fame.
Burr has explained he started the selfie series as a response to the sexy pictures his daughter was posting online.
“I did it because she posted something and the guys in the comment section were too much,” Burr told CNN.
“So to put water on the fire, I posted one like it and said, ‘What about me, guys?’ and that did it.”
Cassie took it all in her stride right from the start.
“She rolled her eyes at first, but once she saw her friends thought it was funny, she was OK with it. I enjoy making people laugh.”
The pair have even been featured on the Ellen Show, a hallmark of internet fame.
With an Instagram fan base of over 140K, Burr now has more Instagram followers than his daughter, which we can only imagine wouldn’t be going down too well.
People love to laugh and the Selfie Dad has no intention of stopping the lols anytime soon.
