On Monday, the mother of daughters James, two, and nine-month-old Ines shared a selfie alongside two Cardiopulmonary resuscitation dummies with the caption: “All mamas and daddies out there…”

“I can’t recommend this enough, I took a CPR class with a focus on babies and toddlers. For those of you who haven’t done it, you will love it. It’s so helpful by giving you knowledge, tools, and some peace of mind.”

She finished her message by urging parents to search for CPR classes near them, in a bid to encourage other mums and dads alike to educate themselves on this life-saving practise.

The 29-year-old’s post comes as husband Ryan Reynolds revealed he’d actually saved his own nephew’s life by performing the skill when tragedy struck a few years ago.

“Years ago, I took a CPR course thru the Red Cross. And holy s–t, I ended up saving my nephew’s life because I knew what to do! True story!” the 40-year-old recalled in his own Instagram post promoting the importance of CPR.

“Yesterday I took a refresher course — focusing on infant and toddler CPR. It takes only a few hours and it’s also kinda, sorta fun.”

He also took a comical moment to thank the “two helpful yet lifeless dolls whose vacant ocular cavities will haunt me until end times”.
