Long before they came to play Celeste and Bonnie on BLL, Zoe Kravitz and Nicole Kidman shared somewhat of a mother-daughter relationship.
In a new interview with The Edit Zoe, 28, recalled living with the Aussie actress while she was in a relationship with her father, rocker Lenny Kravitz.
“I think [Nicole] forgot that no one knew that,” Zoe explained to the publication.
“I hadn’t seen her in a long time before Big Little Lies, but there was a point where we were all kind of living together.
“I was about 13, and she would take me to see movies; she was so nice to me,” she mused.
While we always knew the 49-year-old would be the furthest thing from an “evil stepmother” stereotype, this just makes us love Nic even more.
Even Nicole admits she has a “strong maternal instinct” so it comes as no surprise that she took Zoe under her wing while she was with Lenny.
Earlier this year the mother-of-four, who has been married to Keith Urban for ten year, admitted to The Edit that she was indeed engaged to Lenny in the early noughties.
“Well, I knew Zoë because I was engaged to her father. It’s all in the family!”
She added: “I love Lenny; he’s a great guy.”
The Lion actress previously admitted to being engaged between Tom and her current hubby Keith, in a 2007 interview with Vanity Fair.
“I didn’t really want a relationship. I just wanted my kids to have me, and I didn’t feel comfortable having some person in that small hubbub. And then I got engaged to somebody . . . but it just wasn’t right,” she said.
“I wasn’t ready. We weren’t ready.”
