Channel Nine journalist and former Today Show presenter Sylvia Jeffreys has announced she is expecting her first child, a baby boy, with husband Peter Stefanovic.
The gorgeous 33-year-old announced the happy news on Instagram on Monday night.
“We’re having a baby boy and we’re totally over the moon!! 💫,” Sylvia captioned this gorgeous photo of herself and Peter, totally nailing the new parent couple-dressing look, might we add!

“Soon to be a family of three and we are rapt! Good thing I’m already match fit with the whole no sleep thing 😁,” Pete captioned the post.
The parents-to-be look absolutely over the moon.
(Credit: Instagram)Sylvia and Pete, who is the younger brother of former Today Show presenter Karl Stefanovic, first met in 2014 when they were both hosting Weekend Today over the summer holidays.
“That was the first time we met face to face and it was soon after that that we started courting,” Sylvia told The Sydney Morning Herald in 2016.
“We sort of bumped into each other in a car park at Channel 9 one day before we started hosting together … I think it was pretty obvious, certainly was to everyone around me – my mum and my sister, in particular, knew that there was something there.”

They then tied the knot in 2017 in the Kangaroo Valley in NSW, with a star-studded ceremony attended by celebrities including Lisa Wilkinson, Richard Wilkins, Richard’s son Christian and former Neighbours star turned singer, Holly Candy.

Having a family was always on the cards for the couple, who have both since left Today, following the months of negative publicity brought on by Karl’s high profile divorce from his wife Cassandra Thorburn and the Ubergate scandal.
Sylvia is now a reporter with A Current Affair and also hosts Nine’s Facebook News show, as well as other projects with the network, including podcasts and online articles. Pete hosts Sky News’ political program First Edition.

(Credit: Instagram)In 2017 Sylvia told The Australian Women’s Weekly she and Pete were keen to start their family and intend to raise their children in the same spirit with which they were raised – with lots of sun, sea and surf.
“We’d love a house full of kids,” she revealed.
“Our hope is that down the track, we could have a house on the Gold Coast so that our kids can have the same experiences with their cousins that we both had as kids with our cousins.”
Pete has also spoken about his desire to start a family with his beautiful wife.
“It’s something we both want to do,” the 36-year-old told news.com.au’s Balls Deep podcast in 2018.
He added: “I feel I’d be missing out if we didn’t have a kid, but we’re both pretty busy with our work at the moment.”
