She’s made a name for herself as one of Australia’s most loved TV journalists, but it’s undoubtedly motherhood that’s going to be Sylvia Jeffreys’ greatest chapter yet.
The radiant mum-to-be celebrated her baby shower over the weekend with her nearest and dearest, and suffice to say she was glowing.
Wearing a gorgeous floral maxi dress, Sylvia was joined by her closest family and friends, and there was something about the whole colour scheme of the event that seemed rather appropriate.
Yep, there was plenty of shades of blue – for a baby boy!

Taking to her Instagram page, Sylvia posted a series of the images from her big day, writing: “Oh boy, our baby’s going to be in glorious company when he enters this world.”
She continued: “A beautiful day celebrating & showering our little guy. Thanks to my gang for all the love and belly rubs and CAKE”.
Emphasis on the word ‘cake’ was definitely justified, the icing-clad masterpiece was revealed in Sylvia’s Instagram story to be a “blue velvet masterpiece”.
We’ll just be over here salivating…

(Instagram / @sylviajeffreys)In a second Instagram post, Sylvia shared another sweet family pic of herself and several close family members, including Jasmine Stefanovic, who married famed Aussie TV host Karl Stefanovic in a Mexican wedding ceremony around this time a year ago.
Jasmine wore a cute floral summer dress with a denim jacket, while other members from Sylvia’s clan wore smart casual ensembles.
“Welcome to the family, kid 💙💙,” wrote Sylvia.
It looks like a fun day was had by all!

“We’re having a baby boy and we’re totally over the moon!! 💫,” Sylvia captioned the picture of herself and Pete with giant grins on their faces.

It’s expected that Sylvia will be due at some point in the early months of 2020.
