Kyle Sandilands and fiancée Tegan Kynaston are new parents, welcoming their first child after the radio host rushed off-air on Thursday morning for the birth.
His manager Bruno Bouchet revealed that the baby boy, named Otto, arrived happy and healthy just an hour later.
“Little Otto was born this morning. Mum and bub both doing well,” he told Daily Mail Australia.
“Kyle’s beyond excited. Kyle will be back on tomorrow’s radio show to chat all things Otto.'”
Sharing the thrilling news that Tegan was in labour on the Kyle And Jackie O Show on Thursday morning, Kyle said on air: “I am broadcasting from home for a reasona nd that reason seems to have raised its head now.
“I think I might have to leave the show and go to the hospital. It’s time!”
Cheers erupted on air as Kyle could be heard getting up to leave his home and join Tegan at the hospital for their child’s arrival.
“Guys I’m so sorry! I feel very unprepared,” he confessed. “I’ve gotta run! I feel like I’m abandoning you.”
Jackie O reassured Kyle that there was no issue with him leaving, yelling out to the rest of the radio studio “Kyle’s having a baby!”
She added that she was hoping the baby would arrive during a radio broadcast, confessing: “I’m so used to seeing everything happen in life, like with reality TV.
“I just wish there was a way he could FaceTime us and we could all watch… I don’t think Tegan would like that.”
Though we don’t have photos of baby Otto yet, we’ll be keeping a close eye on Instagram in the coming hours for a first glimpse of the little bundle of joy.
The couple first announced they were expecting in February, sharing the surprising news on Valentine’s Day – because of course they did.
“We’re having a baby!” Kyle, 51, announced as the entire KIIS FM studio cheered, adding that he hoped the bub was “either a girl … or a little gay son.”
Co-host Jackie O said she was “so happy” for the couple and we’re sure her young lookalike daughter Kitty will be so excited to meet the bub.
While the news that Kyle and Tegan were about to be parents made headlines around the country, it shouldn’t have come as too much of a surprise to fans.
He previously told the Daily Mail that he and Tegan underwent fertility tests to make sure they’d be able to have children together.
“I was really nervous [about the fertility test] until it came back saying, ‘Yep, it’s all great, everything’s fine,'” he said.
With a 15-year age gap between them, Kyle said that there would be no issues from Tegan’s end because “she’s a young and healthy woman” and thankfully there were no problems on his end either.
After seeing his friends and family all start families, the radio host confessed that he had “FOMO” [fear of missing out] when it came to children.

Thankfully, he doesn’t have to worry about that anymore now that his first child is on the way.
Kyle was previously in a long-term relationship with Big Brother VIP star Imogen Anthony, but said the 19-year-age gap between them contributed to the relationship ending.
“It’s not as if we couldn’t get on. It’s just I was going into my twilight years, and she was just becoming a woman,” he said on Mamamia’s No Filter podcast.
“It was just one of those things that it was fun while it lasted and it was great, we enjoyed a lot of things about each other, but some of these things they come to an end sometimes.”
Thankfully he found love again with Tegan and we can’t wait to see how they adapt to life as new parents.
At least Kyle is no stranger to early mornings, having worked in breakfast radio for so many years.
Though, we have a feeling his first few months with a newborn will leave him even more tired that ever before on The Kyle And Jackie O Show!
