Their lavish, million-dollar Mexican nuptials had the whole of Australia talking, but since arriving home from Los Cabos late last year, newlyweds Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough have pretty much gone to ground. They’ve even put a stop to their regular social media use.
However, the reason for their vanishing act can finally be revealed – they’re pregnant!
In photos obtained exclusively by Woman’s Day, 35-year-old shoe designer Jasmine was sporting the start of a growing baby bump while running errands with her husband in Sydney on February 19.
“They both looked incredibly happy,” reveals one onlooker, who spotted the couple out in Sydney. The witness went on to point out that Jasmine was quick to cover her stomach with her large handbag after they were spotted.
Confirming the news, a source tells Woman’s Day that Karl, 44, and Jasmine made the conscious effort to lay low while in the early stages of Jasmine’s pregnancy.
“It was a bit of a shock, so they wanted a bit of time to sit and adjust to the news before they started telling everyone,” explains the insider.
We also hear Karl’s personal trainer Chief Brabon has begun preparing the This Time Next Year host to be chasing after little feet again. The father-of-three has been hitting the gym daily in an effort to slim down and shape up.

“Karl already looks like a new man,” says our source. “It’s funny – Jasmine’s belly is growing, but Karl’s is shrinking!”
The news of their growing brood seems to have brought some much needed spark into the couple’s relationship. Reports swirled they might be headed for a split after a public spat at a restaurant while they were on their Aspen honeymoon in December. It’s believed Karl’s axing from Today at the same time also added strain to their days-old marriage.

Despite their almost 10-year age gap, Karl – who shares kids Jackson, 19, Ava, 13, and River, 12, with his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn, 47 – and Jasmine always hoped to have a child of their own.
In fact, a close friend tells us that Karl reversed the vasectomy he had while married to Cass, during a trip to LA in 2017.
“Jasmine really, really wanted to be a mum, so Karl did what he needed to do in order to make that happen,” says the source.
Is Karl Today’s only hope?
In a bitter twist, rumours that Karl could be reinstated to Today hit fever pitch last week, after The Daily Telegraph revealed the former host would retain his $2 million pay packet for just one week of filming for This Time Next Year.
Desperate to ensure they get their money’s worth, a TV insider tells Woman’s Day Nine will try anything to reverse a 14-year ratings low the show is experiencing after relaunching with Georgie Gardner and Deborah Knight at the helm.
