They say third time’s the charm, and it seems that’s the case for Jessica Simpson who has just welcomed a brand-new baby girl.
The singer and actress took to Instagram on Thursday morning to announce the exciting news that she had welcomed her third child with husband Eric Johnson – and she revealed its adorable name.
Posting a sweet image of her newest addition online, Simpson wrote: “We are so happy and proud to announce the birth of our perfect daughter, Birdie Mae Johnson.

But it wasn’t just her unique name that caught our attention – it was Jessica’s casual mention of her new baby’s weight – a cool 4.9 kilograms – that’s no small feat!
Little Birdie joins two siblings – big sister Maxwell Drew, six, and and big brother Ace Knute, five.
Announcing her pregnancy back in September 2018, Jessica shared a sweet image of her two eldest children holding black balloons along with the caption: “SURPRISE…”
She then followed with another picture, this time with pink balloons, writing: “This little baby girl will make us a family of five. We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.”
We can only image how excited this growing family must be right now!

The exciting arrival comes after a well publicised pregnancy from Simpson, who was happy to get candid in sharing the perils of being with-child.
In January, she shared a very confronting image of her grossly swollen pregnancy cankles, asking her fans: “Any remedies?! Help!!!!?”
Later, Simpson then shared a photo of herself revealing that she had “sciatica pain, followed by 3 weeks of Bronchitis”.
“I figured since my feet fit in my sneaks today I needed to walk out a lot of anxiety!!” she wrote.
Simpson also celebrated her baby shower earlier this year, where she actually revealed her baby’s name before it had even been born.
A source told ET that she was enamoured over the name Birdie, thinking it was “so sweet.”
And just this week, Simpson made headlines again with another pregnancy update, this time sharing a picture of her rather rotund baby bump and captioning the picture: “Jess-tation”.

But with all the ups and downs that come with pregnancy, therecan be no denying that it was all worth it as the blonde singer welcomes her newest addition.
