We’re adding Jessica Biel’s very real parenting fears to reason 1,023 why the actress is one of the most relatable mums in Hollywood. Jessica has a two-year-old son, Silas, to singing superstar Justin Timberlake, and this celebrity mum isn’t shy when it comes to being honest about motherhood.

Jessica, 35, was recently a guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert where she admitted that she currently has her hands full with her toddler Silas who is in full-blown “terrible twos” mode.

When the host asked Jessica how life is as a toddler-parent and how much Silas has covered their home in “what you hope is chocolate,” Jessica laughed. But admitted: “every square inch.”

“If it’s not the hopeful chocolate, it’s stickers and Play-Doh and gak and crumbs and who knows,” she said.

“Everything is covered with everything.”

To any mum of a two-year-old, what Jessica is explaining sounds pretty bang on the money. But it’s what comes next for Jessica and her husband Justin has her really concerned.

“For me, this is terrible. But I’ve heard so much about the ‘three-teens.’ The three-year-olds are called three-teens because they’re so insane,” she said.

“They’re just like having tiny teenagers, which is way worse than having big teenagers.”

Unfortunately for Jessica, a new study has found that the age we find our kids the easiest is when they reach five. She has a little way to go before things might settle down in the Timberlake-Biel household.

But of course it isn’t all mess and madness for Jessica, who then admitted she felt guilty for complaining about the toddler.

“Listen, it’s not all terrible, by the way. He’s like, the greatest of all time,” she said.

“Now I’m feeling really bad. He’s cute, he’s funny.”

Don’t worry, Jess. We get it.

The 7th Heaven star has also been hilariously candid about being a mum to her social media following. She often posts pictures and captions that depict the “real life” of a working mum.

When asked by Jimmy Fallon about a picture she posted of an empty plate in a shower which she captioned: “Yes. I eat in the shower,” Jessica summed up the comical shot in five perfect words.

“This is just mum life,” she said.

Call that reason number 1,024.
