Sunrise fans were treated to some seriously happy news yesterday – one of the show’s friendly faces Edwina Bartholomew had welcomed her first child with her husband Neil Varcoe.
Indeed the news was met with glee from Australians as the pair confirmed they had welcomed a brand new baby girl. “Late like her mum, tall like her dad and already an early riser,” the couple said at the time.
But there was one small thing missing – the first pics!
Luckily, we haven’t had to wait long, because first thing the very next day, Edwina shared two images to her Instagram that we can only describe as pure, undisputed heaven.
Sharing two pics of the new baby looking peaceful (yet with her eyes open!) to her Instagram, Edwina wrote: “Meet Molly Matilda Christie Varcoe.”
She then elaborated on the adorable name the couple picked.
“Molly ’cause we like it. Matilda for Neil’s Great Grandmother. Christie was my Grandmother’s maiden name and my middle name too.”
She ended: “We are exhausted and elated. @neilwrites still in shock. Thank you for all the well wishes. We all feel very loved xxx”

Inspiring Aussie athlete Turia Pitt also commented: “Oh wow!!!! She’s divine!!!! Congrats!”
Radio presenter Fifi Box also shared her well wishes with the TV star: “Congratulations Eddie I’m so happy for you and Neil!! Molly is the most precious little angel, you’re going to love having a baby girl 😘😘”
Edwina was flooded with well wishes from her friends and fans.

“9 months + 3 days + moving house = 🙄,” she wrote alongside a selfie of her smiling with her bump in tow.
Edwina famously announced she was pregnant while she was live on-air on Sunrise back in June.
“I have a bit of an announcement myself,” Edwina told her colleagues David Koch, Sam Armytage and Natalie Barr live on air.
“The girls already know but Kochie surprise, surprise – we’re having a baby.”
We’re guessing her co-stars are also over the moon for the show’s newest (and littlest!) addition.
