The Block was a tough journey for blue team Jesse and Paige, who went through many highs and lows together while on the show.
But enough was enough, and they officially decided to leave the competition at the beginning of week five.
Jesse and Paige both had moments over the course of the four weeks they were on The Block where they struggled with the pressure and intensity of the environment.
But it all got too much for Paige who revealed her mental health had deteriorated, and she and Jesse decided to depart the show to prioritise her wellbeing.
The engaged couple were met with so much love, support and respect from the other teams and host Scott Cam who told them, “It’s a very brave decision that you’ve made, and nothing is more important – not The Block, not building it, nothing is more important than your mental health. It is a big decision and a brave one that you’ve both made.”
But after their exit episode aired, Paige took to her TikTok page to share the ‘real reason’ behind their decision to depart the show, claiming the producers edited the footage to fit their narrative.
“We were quite frustrated with the first two weeks and how we were depicted… It’s such a shame you didn’t get to see our good moments,” she explained.
Despite this, a source has told Yahoo! Lifestyle that Jesse and Paige will return to The Block this season for a surprise cameo, although the couple themselves haven’t confirmed or denied it yet.
“Jesse and Paige agreed to return five weeks later and were more than happy to come back. They have been back to Phillip Island twice since their dramatic exit,” the source claimed.
The couple had a tough start to the competition, with Jesse breaking down in tears on the phone to his mother after a sobering realisation in the first week.
“I’m a builder, so two days in I knew how behind we were,” carpenter Jesse, 29, told TV WEEK. “I was expecting I could do everything myself, but could see that making it to Sunday [room-reveal day] would be a huge push.
“Then I realised this isn’t like home anymore, I put too much pressure on myself, and it all came over me.”
Over the course of their time on the show, the couple both had moments where tensions reached boiling point and they spoke about quitting on multiple occasions.
“It was overwhelming,” Paige told TV WEEK. “I couldn’t verbalise my design style and sounded like an idiot.”
The couple had many huge disagreements and setbacks early on, one of which being Paige butting heads with the architect, Julian Brenchley.
“It’s hard, because you don’t want to break the fourth wall, but everyone behind the cameras were being incredibly rude to me,” Paige, 27, said.
“They were rolling their eyes – it didn’t leave a good taste in my mouth. There’s not much you can do off-camera, but they were allowed to apologise to me off-camera.”
With so many early conflicts and setbacks, it all got too much for the Western Australian natives who chose to exit the high-pressure environment that is The Block.
Australian tennis player Thanasi Kokkinakis has become a household name over the past few years as he’s risen in the world rankings.
With his high profile comes interest in his life off the court, and it’s been revealed that the 28-year-old has just quietly separated from his girlfriend of 18 months, Hannah Dal Sasso.
Hannah Dal Sasso is a Melbourne-based influencer and model who runs a dress hire business called Styled By Mim. Her exact age remains unknown, but she’s believed to be in her mid-20s.
Kokkinakis and Dal Sasso first got together in early 2023, and made their public debut as a couple at the Glamour on the Grid party ahead of the F1 Grand Prix in March last year.
“We met a few months ago,’’ the influencer toldFox Sports at the time. “I’ve been travelling with him for a bit.”
After they confirmed their relationship, Dal Sasso followed Kokkinakis around the globe to various tennis tournaments. However, the couple maintained a long-distance relationship for much of their time together.
In May 2024, the model spoke to Herald Sun about the challenges they faced while doing long-distance.
“We just had a nice month together and I already miss him – long distance is really hard,” Hannah told the publication at the time.
“Thanasi is really dedicated to his tennis and he’s putting everything into it and I’m so proud of him.”
It seems the pair have now quietly split as they have unfollowed each other on Instagram, but the reason for their separation remains unknown.
Kokkinakis and Dal Sasso maintained an extremely private relationship for the duration of their romance, and shared minimal photos together.
In 2024, Dal Sasso was seen at both the Australian Open and Wimbledon in support of her then-partner. The Wimbledon Grand Slam tournament in July marked the last time the influencer posted on social media about tennis and hinted at her relationship.
Earlier in the year, Dal Sasso revealed she wasn’t a fan of the term ‘WAG’, and that she preferred to be known for her own achievements rather than for being someone’s partner.
“I know in footy there are so many girlfriends and they get called WAGs, but in tennis there aren’t many and you never really see someone called that,” she told Herald Sun.
“I like having my own name and not being someone else’s partner.”
“We communicate well, and I think it’s a natural effect of losing Steve. I think we became closer and stronger as a family and we have developed this awareness that allows us to truly value the people closest to us even more than we already did,” she shared.
“It’s sad that it takes a tragedy such as Steve’s death to amp that up in your life, but it does make you want to live every day to the fullest and appreciate the people you love. I’m the first to admit that I can be a little overwhelming sometimes, but I have a saying that I think is very true. It’s that the meaning of life is unconditional love and that’s what we have for each other.”
She continues to share memories of them together and spread his love across the world.
Even in 2024, Terri embarrassed her son after a fan confessed they have a tattoo dedicated to Steve in which Terri replied, “It seems like there’s more than one person who has a tattoo of Steve and I was really impressed because I don’t have a tattoo of Steve.”
“I have a tattoo that says ‘Steve was here’. I don’t think I can show it to you.”
As for her grief, well, in a recent interview on the Wiggle Talk podcast in September 2024, Terri says it’s her “companion”.
“When they say time heals all wounds, it doesn’t. But, eventually, it changes. And it walks next to you,” she explained.
“It’s always there. And you have to acknowledge your grief, but it’s a companion rather than an all-consuming feeling.”
For others who may be going through a similar journey of loss, Terri kindly expressed: “You’re going to be okay. And your kids will be okay. And the sun will shine again.
“It may not shine as bright, but it’ll shine again.”
She also offered a word of advice, saying as tough as it can be, it’s never too early to prepare for death. In fact, she’s grateful that she and Steve already had those plans in place before his untimely passing.
“Steve and I had done a 10-year business plan and finished our wills in July, and then we lost him in September. So, of course, it was such a bizarre accident that we couldn’t have prepared for it in any way, but we just prepared for life without us. How would things continue? What would the world look like if we weren’t there?” Terri detailed.
“And I think that’s an important thing for us all to do because we put that off. There’s a tendency to think that if I address my own mortality, I am somehow willing it to happen. And that’s not how it works. If you don’t address it and something happens, it’s very catastrophic.”
THE ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME
On what would have been the couple’s 32nd anniversary, 4 June 2024, Terri shared a beautiful tribute to their love on Instagram. Posting a throwback picture of herself, holding a baby kangaroo with Steve, smiling with his arm around her, the two definitely had something special.
Terri captions the photo, “It was 32 years ago today that Steve & I said “I do” and began the adventure of a lifetime!”
To celebrate their everlasting love, and their incredible life’s work, we take a look at Steve and Terri’s relationship in pictures.
In 2015, 11-year-old Riley travelled to a new city with her team of Emotions to navigate a new city. Nearly ten years later with Inside Out 2, Riley is a 13-year-old teenager taking on a bunch of new Emotions.
For many years it was just the five Emotions – Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust taking the reins. Just when Joy learnt to release control to her fellow Emotions, they are confronted with four new Emotions – Anxiety, Envy, Ennui and Embarrassment.
Anyone who has been around teenagers going through puberty understand it is no easy feat, and we have no doubt Disney Pixar’s Inside Out 2 will go through all the motions.

The newcomers are Anxiety, Envy, Ennui and Embarrassment – the foundations of any pubescent teen.
It is quickly discovered that Anxiety and Joy have different methods to navigating this time of Riley’s life. These differing opinions gets physical when the original Emotions are quite literally bottled in a jar – or “suppressed emotions” according to Fear.
“Operation new Riley” begins as the original five must make their way back to headquarters.

Maria Thattil and Moana Hope are officially the new ‘it’ couple.
The pair went public with their relationship in September 2023 and have provided us with plenty of loved-up photos since.
AFLW player, Moana and former Miss Universe Australia, Maria made their red carpet debut in September 2023, before making their relationship ‘Instagram official’ in October.
The pair received an abundance of love from fans, but with this love also came hateful comments. Maria later addresses the negative response on Instagram.
“I received a homophobic msg in response to our snaps this weekend, that being gay is ‘disgusting’ and all I’ll say is this. Accepting myself has meant that I get to experience this level of bliss. I wish that for everyone,” she began.
“So if that’s disgusting, then call me absolutely repulsive. 🌈 This weekend. This place. This woman. Life surprises you when your heart is open. #happy.”
Maria wasn’t alone as Moana was accused of moving on too quickly from her ex-wife Isabella Carlstrom. The pair were together for six years and welcomed two children before splitting in May 2023.
“Whether I’m dating one person, multiple people, whether I’m thinking about one day would I get married again, whatever decision I make for me is my choice. I don’t need to follow some book or time frame based on what’s appropriate or acceptable to people,” Moana responded.
Despite these comments, their love appears to be stronger than ever.

Recently, Maria embarked on her latest career venture as an actress, appearing on classic Aussie soap, Neighbours.
When speaking with 2DAY FM’s Hughesy, Ed & Erin about her role, Maria told the show’s hosts that Moana laughed because “she had to watch me flirt and she just looked at me and said ‘that’s not how you actually flirt so that’s okay.'”
In celebration of their love, we’ve rounded up some of Maria and Moana’s best photos.
Maria and Moana looked all loved up on their beach getaway.
They truly are such a beautiful couple!
Lovebirds!
A very fashionable duo.
“I love the way you look at me. A very fancy date night @moanahope” Maria said in a photo of the two attending the NGV Gala in December 2023.
Maria and Moana were dressed to the nines when they attended the Marie Claire Women of the Year Awards in November 2023.

Single seniors and ‘glam-mas’ of Oz, get ready – The Golden Bachelor is headed Down Under! TV Blackbox recently confirmed the news that the hit US spin-off series of the mega-popular The Bachelor TV show is a go for Australia.
First introduced by ABC, the series cast 72-year-old widower Gerry Turner as its premier ‘Golden Bachelor’. And audiences loved it!
They fell in love with the endearing silver fox. “I mean, I haven’t dated in 45 years,” Gerry sweetly told Entertainment Tonight before the show aired.
Whatever the former restaurateur was dishing out, viewers were eating it up – the two-plus-hour finale in December 2023 drew in 6.1-million viewers, making it the biggest Bachelor episode in three years.
THE GOLDEN WEDDING
Naturally, ABC capitalised on its success, airing Gerry and his fiance 70-year-old Theresa Nist’s wedding in a live special called The Golden Wedding. Unfortunately, all the bravado didn’t lead to a ‘happily ever after’ – the couple divorced only three short months later.
The rumour mill was rife with reasons why the couple split. The Hollywood Reporter, for one, claimed that Gerry was actually in a long-term, live-in relationship with another woman after the death of his wife, whom he was married to for 43 years.
Other drama was brought up around his true employment. The dirt that was uncovered painted a very different picture of Gerry – one that was a stark contrast to the wholesome image that was portrayed on screen.
WHO’S HOSTING THE GOLDEN BACHELOR?
Drama aside, things could be different for the lovebirds in Oz. And you’ll have a chance to find out on Channel 9, who picked up the series spin-off.
Channel 10, which was previously home to the popular reality franchise, was originally thought to commission The Golden Bachelor as well. However, the network decided not to renew any version of the Bachelor franchise after giving it the axe in May.
As far as who will be hosting the show, it’s still up in the air. But it seems The Voice‘s Sonia Kruger and FWAW‘s Samantha Armytage are serious contenders.
“The word on the street is that Sonia could reboot The Golden Bachelor on Channel Nine in 2025,” a source told Yahoo Lifestyle. “Channel Nine loved working with Sonia and everyone would welcome her back with open arms. There is a real bidding war which will see two networks keen to lock her services down in the new year.”
At the same time, Sam, who recently announced she was leaving Channel Seven, is also tipped to be hosting the Bachelor reboot.
Entertainment journalist Peter Ford dubbed the former Sunrise anchor as a frontrunner, writing on X, “If I was a betting man I’d put money on @sam_armytage.
“She’s now a free agent after leaving 7 and has been clear she was interested in new opportunities.”
WHERE TO WATCH THE GOLDEN BACHELOR IN AUSTRALIA
Nine is planning to formally announce The Golden Bachelor at its annual UPFRONTS event in October. As of now, the network has refused to issue any more announcements, regarding its programming.
Hundreds of aspiring singers line-up in the hopes of being selected by one of the coaches on The Voice Australia, and 2024 is no different.
In order to boost viewers’ anticipation, Channel Seven has begun to slowly tease the identity of each contestant set to appear in the new season of The Voice.
Before the real competition can begin, the hopeful singers must enter a Blind Audition where the coaches will either slam that big red button to turn their chair or unfortunately reject them.
The network is yet to reveal the full list of contestants for The Voice 2024 but continue scrolling to discover the young hopefuls as they are announced.
Beau
Team Guy
Potentially one of the youngest contestants to take to the stage this season is Beau, a 16-year-old surfer with a voice beyond his years.
“It gave me a lot of confidence. I thought if I can do this, I can do anything,” he told Seven.
Reuben De Melo
Team LeAnn
Perth-based mine worker Reuben was the first artist to ‘wow’ the judges on The Voice, even moving LeAnn Rimes to tears and urging her to use her ‘Ultimate Block’ to secure his position on her team.

Team Adam
Every single chair turned for 32-year-old Lana with her confident performance of Goodluck by Basement Jaxx.

Team Guy
Music teacher Shannen tempted all the coaches to spin around and give her a standing ovation thanks to her incredible performance of Stop by Sam Brown.

Demolition and asbestos removal specialist Kyle Wilson got Guy to turn around for his unique rendition of Sexy and I know It by LMFAO.
“I commend you for taking this risk. There’s a really beautiful voice in there,” complimented Guy.
Tia Barnes
Team Kate
Tia wowed the judges with her rendition of Life Goes On by Ed Sheeran Ft Luke Combs in a sweet tribute to her father who has brain cancer.
“I definitely don’t want to let Dad down and not get any turns,” she said before singing.
Well, Tia certainly didn’t disappoint – her angelic voice saw all four coaches spin around. Guy was first to turn, then LeAnn, Adam and finally Kate.
She even sang a duet with Kate, who she knew going in she wanted to be her coach.
Michael & Violeta
Team LeAnn
This couple not only got all four judges to turn their chairs, but they also moved LeAnn to tears with their beautiful performance of When the Party’s Over by Billie Eilish.
Ruby Lafferty
Team Adam
Adam and Kate were quick to turn around as 18-year-old, Sydney-sider Ruby tempted with her vocals to Right, Right Now by Jessica Mauboy.
Priscilla Stanley
Team Guy
Priscilla, 25, from Melbourne, performed Battle Scars by coach Guy Sebastian, turning Guy, Kate and Adam’s chairs.
Siena
Team Adam
All of the coaches not only turned around for Siena, but they also gave the 18-year-old a standing ovation for her “juicy” version of My Mind by Yebba.
The coaches were so impressed, they threw their shoes up on stage – meaning she absolutely killed it!
‘Fangirling’, Adam gushed, “Your talent is mesmerising.”
Matthew Hearne
Team Kate
Matthew Hearne from Melbourne got all four judges to turn and give him a standing ovation for his rendition of This is the Moment from Jekyll & Hyde – the musical. And they were absolutely gobsmacked to find out that Matthew was born with cerebral palsy.
Kate blocked Adam, securing Matthew, the Pararoos athlete, on her team.
Stephanie Milostic
Team Adam
Guy, LeAnn and Adam turned at the last minute for Stephanie and her impressive performance of New Rules by Dua Lipa, causing her to become – naturally – overcome with emotion.
LeAnn praised her for her: “Cool pop voice with some soul in it”, before blocking Guy. However, it turns out her block was wasted because Stephanie went with Adam.
Liz Player – ELIMINATED
Team Kate
Liz Player, the 20-year-old from Sydney’s northern beaches sang It don’t mean a thing (if it ain’t got that swing) by Duke Ellington – with a twist. She did some scatting, completely improvised.
Upon hearing her, Kate turned with an emphatic double hand button press. Then, Adam followed suit. Ultimately, she went with Team Kate.
Duncan Toombs
Team LeAnn
Duncan Toombs, 46, sang Have a Little Faith by John Hiatt, wowing the judges (all four turned) and moving LeAnn to tears.
“You have this salt to the earth soulful thing going on, which I just dig,” LeAnn gushed.
“There really is a future for you as an artist, and I would love to help you build that,” she added.
Tom Leeming
Team Adam
Tom Leeming, the 29-year-old from Queensland, wowed the judges, playing the piano and singing, Somebody to Love by Queen – a risky move since Adam is now the lead singer of the British band.
However, the risk paid off because all four judges turned. Naturally, Tom chose to go on Team Adam.
Amber Sindoni
Team LeAnn
Singing, Anyone by Demi Lovato, Amber, 22, impressed LeAnn and Kate enough to turn around in their big red chairs.
“I really admire your gumption, singing that song,” Kate praised, adding, “It’s risky. But you took that risk, and it paid dividends.”
Despite Kate’s kind words, the children’s book author from Melbourne chose Team LeAnn.
Mol Turner – ELIMINATED
Team Kate
In what was probably the most unique The Voice anywhere audition, 17-year-old Mol, a cheerleader, did a rendition of Britney Spears’ hit song Toxic that was… memorable.
The death metal singer took that pop song to depths it’s certainly never been before, using her “scream voice”.
Kate was the only coach that turned around, but the other judges were very impressed that such a sound could come out of such a small human.
Hannah Sands
Team Guy
Self-professed ‘mummy TikToker’ Hannah got both Guy and LeAnn to spin around thanks to her performance of Snooze by Sza.
Guy said, “That was so cool. I find you very interesting, and I’d love to see what else you’ve got.”
Before her audition, Hannah gushed about being a fan of Guy, so it was no surprise when she chose his team!
Jaydin Shingleton
Team Guy
Singing Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton and strumming his guitar, Jaydin tempted Guy to spin around first. Then soon after, the rest of the judges turned their chairs, with Kate being last only by a hair.
We saw Guy fight hard for this singer, even playing ‘dirty’ and blocking LeAnn!
It was a good move because Jaydin chose to be on his team in the end.
Jaedyn Randell
Team Kate
The voice behind Disney princesses Moana and Frozen‘s Princess Ana in New Zealand, Jaedyn performed a beautiful rendition of Big White Room by Jessie J, earning three chair spins from Kate, Guy and Adam.
“I think you could win this competition. I had goosebumps the whole time!” gushed Kate.
Queency
Team Adam
With a memorable performance to Sexual Healing by Marvin Gaye, which got the coaches grooving in their chairs, Queency, 33, managed to only get a turn from Adam.
But he wasn’t disappointed! While praising his ‘flamboyant’ style, Adam said, “You can sing!”
Larissa Kovalchuk
Team LeAnn
Larissa’s angelic voice lit up The Voice stage as she sang Ave Maria by Caccini & Vavilov. Both Adam and LeAnn turned.
LeAnn was moved to tears, and said, “I thought I was listening to an angel.”
And Adam said, “That gave me goosebumps everywhere. All over my body, I had chills.”
Everyone agreed it was truly a spiritual experience!
Cody Gunton
Team Adam
Taking a risk and singing, Whataya Want From Me by coach Adam Lambert, Cody proudly took the stage for an amazing performance.
LeAnn was the first to turn and then the other three followed her lead.
“You gave me the angst it needs emotionally, but it didn’t seem too hard for you,” Adam noted.
“You’re handsome. As your coach, I’ll take you out of your comfort zone and make you a rockstar.”
Skÿe
Team Guy
Skÿe absolutely wowed the coaches with his performance of What Was I Made For by Billie Eilish.
Adam turned and was gobsmacked to see who was singing those sweet vocals on stage. Then the rest of the of coaches turned and their surprise was just as evident.
Skÿe himself was positively beaming to see their chairs spin. And as soon as his song finished, Kate said, “Incredible incredible” with LeAnn adding, “You ruined my mascara!”
“I didn’t expect to see you when I turned around – iIt was the coolest surprise,” gushed Adam before saying, “I should be your coach.”
“That was transcendent. I’ve never heard a vocal tone like that in my life,” praised Kate.
Natalie Colavito – ELIMINATED
Team LeAnn
Natalie Colavito, the 37-year-old from Sydney with powerhouse vocals belted out Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin, captivating the judges.
Adam even got on stage, performing a surprise duet with Natalie, and it rocked the house.
“I’m a stickler for pitch and to hear you hold out those notes with such power and passion – your voice could sing anything. There’s so much to work with,” LeAnn said in an attempt to get Natalie to join her team. And it worked!
Laura Glynn
Team LeAnn
Laura Glynn, 29, performed Vienna by Billy Joel with such heartfelt emotion that every judge but Adam turned.
“That was stunning,” LeAnn praised.
Kate shared how moved she was by Laura’s performance and said, “You’ve got chops.”
Overwhelmed and moved to tears by the judges appreciation of her audition, Laura explained that her dad, who has been diagnosed with cancer, is her “musical hero and influence” and the reason she was there.
Annie Jones
Team Adam
The fiery 16-year-old from Victoria, Annie Jones, came to The Voice on a mission to join Adam’s team. And it worked!
Her performance of Holding on for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler – the Adam Lambert version, naturally – got Adam (the first to turn), Kate and Guy to spin in their chairs.
“Boy, that was not easy to do, but you got it,” gushed Adam. “I love people that are balls to the wall. That have fire in their belly.
“That’s being a rockstar, and I’m very inspired by it.”
MJ O’Doherty
Team Kate
MJ took a risk, coming on stage to sing Zero Gravity by coach Kate – the song she sang at Eurovision! – and it paid off. Kate and Guy both turned around.
“Wow, I can’t believe you just cut my grass by going higher on that last note. A little bit rude, but I’ll forgive you,” Kate teased.
Roland Williams
Team Guy
The first guy of the night to get a turn, Roland, the 32-year-old from New Zealand, got his by singing one of Guy’s early songs, Angels Brought Me Here.
Guy spinned around first, with LeAnn and Kate following.
“You know what I really loved about it? It was so much better than Guy’s version,” Kate said, adding, “That was a joke… in a way.”
It was no laughing matter when Guy then used his ultimate block, securing Roland on his team.
Eden Borrie
Team Guy
Performing Life on Mars by David Bowie, the 19-year-old classically trained flautist first got a turn from Guy, who seemed unable to resist hitting his big red button. Next LeAnn turned and then Adam.
When Eden belted out ‘Mars’, Kate spun around as well!
The judges gave her a standing ovation. And Guy praised, “It was just exquisite, if I’m honest.”
Kaitlin Martin
Team Adam
Kaitlin Martin sang Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Judy Garland (the Ariana Grande version), getting a chair turn from Guy, Adam and Kate.
“You’re a pop star,” Adam said. “You can do this!”
Falon Moore
Team Kate
Singing an emotional rendition of Piece by Piece by Kelly Clarkson, 24-year-old Falon Moore earned a chair turn from Kate.
“I was really moved by that performance, and I felt that genuine emotional connection,” Kate said.
“I’m absolutely stoked to have you on my team.”
Tori Darke
Team LeAnn
Tori Darke treated the coaches to a performance of Stupid Boy by Keith Urban.
The song was not chosen by random. In fact, the 33-year-old from Brisbane first auditioned on The Voice three years ago – but with a pop song, which did not land with the coaches.
Guy, who was still on the coaching panel then, however, encouraged Keith Urban (another coach that season) to join Tori on stage to sing this very song – Stupid Boy. They did, and it went viral! She now owns her calling as a country music artist.
LeAnn gushed, “I loved when you opened up. There’s power in your voice.”
Aaron Hayward – ELIMINATED
Team Adam
Aaron, the 29-year-old from Melbourne, got Adam to turn his chair with his performance of Arcade by Duncan Laurence. This was a HUGE deal, considering Adam only had one spot left on his team.
That doesn’t mean he didn’t have competition though. Guy, LeAnn and Kate all ended up spinning in their chairs. And when the performance was done, they gave Aaron a standing ovation.
“I thought I’d seen it all and then along comes you,” said Guy, praising his performance.
“You’re like an artistic action man.”
Much to the other coaches dismay, Adam used his ultimate block, securing Aaron on his team.
Cookie Robinson
Team LeAnn
Just 16 years old, Cookie Robinson took the stage with a risky song – Can’t Fight The Moonlight by coach LeAnn Rimes.
But her risk paid off! LeAnn turned. She said, “It takes a lot of guts to come out here and sing one of our songs.”
The two ended up doing a duet together.
Paea Havili – ELIMINATED
Team Guy
Singing, Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen, Paea impressed the coaches, getting Guy, LeAnn and Kate to turn. Adam really wanted to as well, but his team was full!
“That was torture for me,” Adam said, sharing that he wished he wasn’t so “trigger happy” because he really wanted him on his team.
Arthur Hull
Team Guy
Arthur Hull, the 19-year-old from Victoria sang When I Was Your Man by Bruno Mars – and the coaches loved it!
Adam, whose team was full, took a sneaky peek while Arthur was performing. Then Guy turned, followed by Kate and then LeAnn.
“This is redemption,” Arthur said, explaining that he was on the show two years ago but didn’t get the result he wanted. Poor guy went into anaphylactic shock after eating a Brazil nut ahead of his audition.
Guy jested, “It took some nuts to come back.”
Annaleese Fuda – ELIMINATED
Team LeAnn
Annaleese Fuda came on the stage to sing Into You by Ariana Grande. LeAnn and Kate both turned – the only two coaches that had space left on their teams.
“I was just mesmerised. I wanted to dive into the pool of your voice,” Kate gushed.
However, the competition against LeAnn was stiff. With both coaches begging for the 27-year-old from Adelaide, LeAnn ended up securing her for her team.
Letitia Butler
Team LeAnn
Letitia Butler sang Always Remember Us This Way by Lady Gaga, earning her a turn from LeAnn and then Kate.
“I have one spot left on my team, and I would do anything to work with you,” LeAnn said.
It worked – Letitia chose team LeAnn!
Nethra Raman
Team Kate
Nethra, the 21-year-old from Sydney, sang Bruises by Lewis Capaldi. And she got Kate to turn – the last coach with a spot left on her team.
“Wow, I really felt that deeply,” Kate said. “You’re amazing.”
Jaymee Lancaster
Team Kate
The coaches all wished they weren’t so trigger happy earlier in the competition because Jaymee had some pipes! The 19-year-old from Sydney auditioned with Elastic Heart by Sia.
Kate turned with a huge smile after the other coaches urged her to spin around. Once she did, the other three coaches stood up out of their chairs to watch the rest of Jaymee’s performance.
“Oh wow, I’m still recovering from that. I had full-body goose bumps. You’re a true artist,” Kate beamed.
If you’ve ever tossed and turned on a hot summer night, struggling to get comfortable, we have three words for you: Ecosa’s CoolComfort Mattress.
Designed with a unique blend of cooling technology and ergonomic support, this mattress promises up to 80% cooler comfort, compared to a standard mattress top fabric.
With advanced temperature-regulating foams, breathable layers and a cutting-edge Cool+ Top Cover, this mattress promises to keep you cool and dry all night long.
Here’s a closer look at how it delivers unbeatable sleep:
BETTER SLEEP NOW
01
Unparalleled breathability
Traditional memory foam mattresses tend to trap heat, but the CoolComfort mattress does things differently.
Its breathable FlexMatrix™ Grid allows for superior airflow, so instead of retaining warmth, it constantly circulates air, helping you stay cool and cosy.
02
Heat-drawing technology
Say goodbye to sweaty nights! The CoolComfort Mattress uses graphene- and copper-infused foams that literally pull the heat away from your body.
These materials act as conduits for heat, ensuring it goes away quickly, keeping your sleeping environment comfy and sweat-free.
03
Targeted support for better alignment
A comfortable sleep isn’t just about staying cool – it’s also about proper support.
The mattress‘s precision-sized pocket springs provide targeted spinal alignment, supporting your body in five ergonomic zones. This means, you can wake up refreshed and pain-free, with your body perfectly aligned.
04
Cool, clean comfort
The real star of the show is the Cool+ Top Cover, which is up to 80% cooler to the touch than standard mattress tops.
Not only does it keep you cool, but it’s also fully washable and hygienic – the peace of mind you need for a restful night’s sleep.
05
Continuous airflow
The CoolComfort mattress is designed to keep air flowing freely. Mesh panels along the sides of the mattress enhance airflow, so any trapped heat can escape, leaving you – and your furry friend – with a cool and comfortable sleeping surface.
A police officer has died in the most shocking of circumstances. The force is in mourning – all except Holly. Will the officer’s death get in the way of her finding out who shot Sonia?
In this week’s episode of Human Error, Holly (Leeanna Walsman) is recovering from the minor injuries she suffered when the officer died in front of her eyes. Turning up at work, she’s upset to find out that resources are being diverted away from her homicide case – suburban mum-to-be Sonia Matthews (Kate Angus) – and into the hunt for the police officer’s killer.
Her colleague Dylan (Stephen Peacocke) is put in charge of the taskforce.
“Suddenly, this woman she’s investigating is less important,” Leeanna tells TV WEEK. “A decision has to be made about where Homicide’s resources get funnelled, and it’s like she [Sonia] is just this ordinary woman, so doesn’t deserve the attention that another case gets. That drives Holly more. This is about ‘every life matters’.”
The police officer’s funeral draws a huge crowd, while only a handful of people attend the memorial service for Sonia. Holly does her best to comfort Sonia’s widower, Mike (Sachin Joab).
Meanwhile, Holly is also having a tough time at home. Her husband Luke (Matt Day) is, understandably, devastated that she’s pregnant to another man. The couple spend a day at the beach with their daughter Alice (Rosie Mitchell) and have a heart-to-heart. Luke wants to know if Holly loves him or the man who has fathered her unborn baby.
“She loves Luke – he’s her soulmate – but their relationship had become more of a friendship than a romance,” Leeanna explains. “They hadn’t really communicated about their relationship and it all unravels with the pressure of her being pregnant.”
Is there a way for Holly and Luke to salvage their relationship?
While most couples would find racing around the world and spending 24/7 together a little testing, it’s just normal life for country music stars and Amazing Race contestants Brooke McClymont and Adam Eckersley.
“We travel and tour together anyway, so I think our job really set us up for this race,” Brooke, 43, tells TV WEEK. “That was the biggest appeal for us. We were like, ‘Hell yeah, let’s go do something that’s outside of music for a while!’”
The couple, who have been married 15 years and share two kids, Tiggy, 11, and Elroy, 4, drew on their history of hitting the road to get through some of The Amazing Race’s tougher challenges.
“Because we do work together constantly, we have in the forefront of our mind to treat each other with respect, not be snappy at each other – especially when we’re doing things that are so out of our comfort zone,” Brooke explains. “I’m not saying we got it right every time, but we certainly are not divorced!”
While it was Adam’s first time on a reality show, Brooke is a veteran, having placed runner-up on the 2022 edition of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. So how did the two series stack up?
“They’re both great in their own ways, but if I could do either again I’d do Amazing Race, because you can actually eat on that show,” Brooke laughs. “But really, I just enjoy working in a team and I loved doing it with Adam. It’s nice to share it with someone.”
With one reality series under their belt, Brooke says she and Adam would be open to doing another.
“Gogglebox would be perfect,” Brooke reveals. “I am already a couch potato.”
And as an added bonus: no bush tucker trials to be seen!
The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition airs Monday, Tuesday and Sunday, 7.30pm, 10.
