Nic and Keith: Loved-up or lovelorn?

This is Nicole and Keith as we see them today — content and very pregnant!

Oscar-winner Nicole has a career that continues to go strong — pictured in The Golden Compass.

Nicole Kidman in another scene of The Golden Compass — the wardrobe department managed to disguise Nic’s baby bump.

Nicole looks every bit the “yummy mummy” at the press conference for the film The Golden Compass in Tokyo, Japan.

Meanwhile, hubby Keith has an international career of his own — a little bit country, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll. Fortunately for him, he doesn’t have to hide a baby bump for his performances!

Is Nicole happier with Keith than she was with Tom Cruise? Compare her coy body language in this image…

…with the sparks between Keith and Nicole apparent in this picture from CMT Music Awards red carpet — the intertwined fingers, the happy, open facial expressions would all indicate a very cosy couple.

And again, the two are looking very cosy at a black-tie event — even if Keith looks like he’s going to sneeze.

The couple showed off their sense of humour, providing a slab of beer for the photographers parked outside Nicole’s 39th birthday bash. With Keith’s past drug and alcohol addiction issues, perhaps they’re demonstrating a sense of irony too.

In the lead-up to their 2006 wedding, Nicole and Keith were looking less than jovial.

Still, the bride was beaming on her wedding day, held at St Patrick’s College in Manly on June 25 2006.

About a year later at the premiere for the film Distracted, the couple looked, er, distracted.

Here, Keith could be explaining the finer details of the showdown between Aussie Lleyton Hewitt and Serbia’s Novak Djokovic of Serbia at the 2008 Australian Open. Is Nicole on the edge of her seat with the tennis action, or on the edge of her seat, ready to storm off?

Despite the tumult, there are moments — such as this one at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas this year — where it’s hard to deny the two are very loved-up indeed. Then again, the photographer apparently told them to get close!
