Beloved Today news presenter Brooke Boney, 37, announced in mid-March that she was departing the show to study in the United Kingdom.
Her replacement was revealed in July – and it’s more than likely you’ll have seen her face on-screen before.
Jayne Azzopardi, current Weekend Today co-host, has officially transitioned to the weekday show to cover the news stories on Today.
Meanwhile, Renee Bargh, Today’s celebrity interviewer, also now has an increased role in the entertainment segment alongside Richard Wilkins.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Jayne Azzopardi, one of Nine’s most accomplished journalists, to Today in the news chair,” Channel Nine’s director of morning television Steven Burling said in a statement.
“Jayne has covered politics in Canberra, reported on major news events, and co-hosted Weekend Today.
“Joining her is Renee Bargh, known for her career at Channel [V] and as a correspondent for EXTRA in LA, to cover the entertainment round alongside Dickie.
“We’re privileged to have Jayne and Renee join our team at Today.”
Jayde previously worked as a co-host on Weekend Today, alongside Clint Stanaway, from April 2023 to August 2024, following the departures of Belinda Russell and Charles Croucher.
Brooke Boney’s departure announcement came as a shock to many viewers of Today, as she has become a much-loved member of the on-screen team since her start as an entertainment reporter in December 2018.
In mid-March 2024, Brooke revealed live on-air that she would be finishing up with her role following the completion of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The 37-year-old has accepted a place at the illustrious Oxford University in the UK, where she’ll be studying a Masters of Public Policy.
“I’ve been offered a place at Oxford University later this year, which means I’ll be leaving the show after the Olympics,” she said in her on-air announcement.
“I don’t want to go into too much right now, because there’ll be plenty of time for goodbyes and thank youse, but I just wanted to share that good slash bad news with you all this morning.
“It’s been a dream of mine to be able to study at an overseas university, and it just felt like the right time to take that step.”
Watch out Australia, the hit BBC comedy series The Office is touching down on local shores this October.
Ahead of its release, TV Week spoke with some of the show’s stars on the red carpet of the 2024 Logies to find out what viewers can expect.
“I’d describe [the show] as like a hug in terms of it’s a format and a structure that everyone’s used to,” Felicity Ward told TV Week.
“We know it, you know it – if you love The Office already. If you know, you know. But if you don’t, it’s also a really lovely, warm, funny, moving at times as well, show to step into.
“And then mostly funny. Jokes, they can expect, yes, fun, funny, gags. I dance a lot more, I think, than the other incarnates of The Office.
“There’s a lot of music… Probably the most musical boss [there’s been]. There’s a lot of stimming. If anyone has ADHD, you all know what that means. A lot of musical stimming,” she concluded.

Felicity Ward – who is known for Time Bandits – will portray the lead character of Hannah Howard who is the Managing Director of a fictional packaging company, Flinley Craddick.
The Australian version of The Office will be the thirteenth iteration of the franchise, and marks the first time a female will take on the lead role.
Along with Felicity, the cast also includes an array of prominent Australian and New Zealander comedians and actors.
Starring in the upcoming Australia iteration of The Office are:
Edith Poor (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power)
All eight episodes of the series will be available to stream exclusively on Prime Video on 18 October 2024.
According to the show’s synopsis, “In The Office, Hannah Howard is the managing director of packaging company Flinley Craddick. When she gets news from Head Office that they will be shutting down her branch and making everyone work from home, she goes into survival mode, making promises she can’t keep in order to keep her “work family” together.
“The staff of Flinley Craddick indulge her and must endure Hannah’s outlandish plots as they work toward the impossible targets that have been set for them.”
It is hard to predict the success rate of the Australian version given that both the American and UK versions had very different outcomes.
Despite being the original, the British version was released in 2001 and was only renewed for two seasons with only six episodes each.
Although it was successful enough to inspire the US series which has nine seasons, its more miserable tone was dropped as viewers favoured the more upbeat tone of the American series.
The American version propelled the careers of numerous actors including Steve Carrell, John Krasinski, Mindy Kaling, Rainn Wilson, Ellie Kemper and Ed Helms.
Channel 10 has confirmed that fan-favourite cooking show MasterChef Australia will once again return to screens in 2025.
Some of our favourite contestants from previous years will be Back To Win in this All Stars season!
2024 saw Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli join the judging panel alongside Andy Allen, and now it’s been confirmed that all four of the food experts will be returning once again for the 2025 season.
But the judges aren’t the only ones returning to the MasterChef kitchen!
We can expect plenty of familiar faces to grace our screens again next year as they battle it out to win the title of MasterChef – a prize that eluded them all during their first stint on the show.
The Back To Win theme was first introduced back in 2020 and saw Emelia Jackson walk away with the crown. Now, Emelia is set to return to the MasterChef kitchen once more as a contestant on the 2024 season of Dessert Masters, which will premiere in October this year.
As for who fans can expect to see in 2025 currently remains unknown, but there’s no shortage of options with the high calibre of previous contestants!
It’s also been revealed that celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay will appear as a special guest judge next year.
Although we’ve been given confirmation that MasterChef Australia: Back To Win will air in 2025, the exact release date remains unknown.
If previous seasons are anything to go by, we can likely expect the 2025 season to premiere in late April or early May.
We’ll be updating this article with more information when it becomes available, so make sure to check back here for more details!
When Farmer Andrew and Claire Saunder’s first collided on the 2023 season of Farmer Wants A Wife Australia, it seemed their stories were destined to intertwine.
But unfortunately, the pair broke off their relationship in 2024.
After months of silence, Farmer Andrew has finally spoken about the breakup on Instagram, deeming “life had other plans” for the pair.
“Despite all the love and effort we both gave, sometimes things just don’t work out. Living together brought its own challenges, and we realised our paths weren’t meant to stay intertwined,” he wrote, reminiscing on their journey on FWAW.
“It’s sad the relationship ended, but I stand tall knowing we gave it our all. Though it didn’t lead us where we hoped, it helped us grow…
“And while it’s painful to walk away, we’ve both emerged stronger, wiser, and more attuned to what really matters.”
He continued to thank his friends and family who remained kind during “tough times.” Despite their disappointing end, Farmer Andrew explained he has “no regrets, just gratitude” as he dives back into the farm life.
Four months after celebrating their first anniversary, Andrew dropped to one knee to propose on March 17, 2024. However, Claire announced the wedding was cancelled in a cryptic Instagram post shared mere months later in July.
“Andrew and I have had to cancel our wedding to due to reasons out of our control, but we are both okay,” she wrote. “I’m not sure what else to say other than, sometimes life is hard and we all just need a little breathing space.
“There will be no farming content from me for the foreseeable future.”
Shortly after the announcement, Claire was spotted selling her wedding dress on Facebook.
According to Claire’s Instagram, it appears she has returned to Tasmania following her split from Andrew. After the pair’s early exit from FWAW, she relocated to Andrew’s farm in Narromine.
When Catherine, Princess of Wales made her highly-anticipated return to public life at the 2024 Trooping the Colour, royal watchers everywhere breathed a sigh of relief at seeing their beloved Princess looking well.
Coupled with her recent appearance at the 2024 men’s singles Wimbledon final, fans remained hopeful of her re-joining her family at some high-profile events.
Now, the Princess has revealed in a beautiful family video shared to Instagram that she has finished chemotherapy and is “looking forward to being back at work”.
On 10 September 2024, Catherine said that while she “must continue to take each day as it comes”, she’s planning to start easing back into her royal duties.
She said, “Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long, and I must continue to take each day as it comes.
“I am, however, looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.”
In the video message, the mum-of-three is seen with her children and Prince William, simply enjoying wholesome family time out in nature. And fortunately, she looked so happy and well.
So happy and well, in fact, that the Princess has returned to work at Windsor castle for the first time since finishing her chemotherapy.
Catherine, according to the Court Circular, hosted a meeting at the royal estate for a cause close to her heart – her Early Years project.
Throughout her cancer journey, the Princess of Wales has been working from home when possible.
HER JOURNEY
The Princess of Wales’ long-awaited public appearance at Trooping the Colour marked the first time she had been seen in an official capacity since Christmas Day 2023, and she looked as radiant as ever at the event.
Catherine then attended the final day of Wimbledon on 14 July, where she was met with a standing ovation from spectators in the stands.
But do these appearances mark her official return to royal duties? Unfortunately, no.
Catherine is still undergoing preventative chemotherapy to treat an undisclosed form of cancer, but her attendance at the parade and tennis tournament hopefully signify her treatment is going well and she’ll be back to her regular duties relatively soon.
Whilst Kensington Palace confirmed Kate Middleton’s presence at the Trooping the Colour shortly ahead of the day, they also quickly shut down any prospects of her attending the annual Garter Day on 17 June, as well as the Royal Ascot racing carnival – an event which is traditionally attended by senior members of the royal family.
In her touching personal statement confirming her attendance at the King’s birthday parade, the Princess of Wales admitted that she still has both “good days and bad days”, which means her appearance at upcoming events will likely depend on how she feels at the time.
According to her statement, Catherine will start to do some work from home as she feels better, and she also shared her “hope to join a few public engagements over the summer” – one such event being the Wimbledon final.

The Sun have reported that the princess will start to hold meetings with palace staff as well as representatives from the Royal Foundation and the Centre for Early Childhood – both being charities she is a patron of.
A spokesperson for Catherine has also confirmed that the palace will only give updates on face-to-face work meetings when “appropriate” and relevant.
Kensington Palace has yet to confirm Kate’s next official public engagement. However, Prince William and Princess Catherine are back from their summer break where they spent time with their three children. And while William has returned to royal duties, it seems Catherine is also easing back in to the public eye.
On social media, Catherine congratulated adventurer and TV presenter Dwayne Fields on becoming the new Chief Scout of Scouts UK.
“Delighted to welcome @DwayneFields as the new UK Chief Scout,” she wrote, “The Scouts is such an incredible organisation, teaching #SkillsForLife and making a huge difference to young people across the country.
“Looking forward to working with you!” she wrote, signing off the post with her initial ‘C’.
Catherine became joint president of the organisation alongside Queen Elizabeth’s cousin Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent, in 2020.
The Princess has been candid and honest about her cancer journey in her statement, admitting she is “learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal.”
McCafe’s Tina has become a familiar face to The Block fans – and no one is closer to all the action and drama than her!
Tina has been the show’s resident barista for four years now and has all the hottest behind-the-scenes gossip.
Here, she opens up to Woman’s Day, revealing all!
THE INTERVIEW
How long have you been at The Block’s McCafe?
This year is my fourth year working for McCafe on The Block. I’ve been lucky enough to be asked back each year which has always been an easy yes.
Who was your favourite Blockhead to gossip with?
Probably Courtney and Mimi. They would often be at McCafe together. The trades don’t mind a gossip session as well.
Did you get to find out lots of juicy things?
Yes this season particularly, I felt like McCafe was really just a gateway to a lot of information – probably the juiciest season I’ve been on.
Did they all swear you to secrecy?
No, I think McCafe was like a comfort place for all the contestants to come and vent any frustrations or grievances.
You were a shoulder to cry on for a lot of them too – are you good at giving advice?
I’d like to think I’m not bad at giving advice, but when you have someone you just met breaking down at the McCafe to you, it can sometimes get a little awkward, but I know McCafe is a place to let their emotions out and the more seasons I’ve done the easier it has become though.
Anyone not very chatty?
Everyone was very chatty. You are giving them coffee for 12 weeks so you are going to be their best friend for the next three months. Jesse and Paige aren’t coffee drinkers so I didn’t see them as often as everyone else.
What is Scotty Cam’s coffee order?
Scotty Cam is a regular cappuccino guy.
Is Mimi the first adult you’ve had who’s ordered just steamed milk?
[Laughs] Yes, I can easily say that Mimi is the first adult to order straight hot almond milk. It would always remind me of an adult human cat.
And which finished house was your fave on The Block?
I would say Houses 2 and 5 overall. They are more my style, but I’m no interior designer, just your humble barista.
What time did a shift at McCafe on The Block start?
I would start at 6.30am and we would open at 7am for serving. I would generally be met with a mad rush at that time. Everyone needs their McCafe fuel to start their day.
Would you be up for doing the show again next year?
A hundred per cent yes. The reason why I’ve come back the last few years is because of The Block production as a whole. It’s a great family they’ve got. Everyone is so kind and friendly, which makes it a fantastic environment to work in.
And after hearing Brad, 60, pour his heart out about losing his six kids during his ongoing nasty divorce from Angelina Jolie, George has apparently convinced his powerful lawyer wife Amal, 46, to help their good friend win his kids back.
“Brad’s been confiding in George about the latest with his divorce drama,” an insider tells Woman’s Day. “And George has shared with Amal how much it’s devastated Brad, not being with his children for so long.”
The source adds, “Amal has to be careful not to compromise her own work and she’s not officially on board by any means, but she’s more than willing to offer her legal mind to one of George’s oldest friends.”
BRAD’S SECRET PAIN
Brad has “virtually no contact” with his three eldest children, Maddox, 22, Pax, 20 and Zahara, 19, following Ange’s claims that he was abusive toward them in 2016. And his oldest biological daughter, Shiloh, showed that her loyalties lie with her actress mother when she legally changed her surname to “Jolie” after she turned 18 in May.
“The reminders that he’s lost his children [are] not easy for Brad,” a source told People. “He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad.”
But as per the current custody agreement, the Wolfs actor still has visitation rights with their 16-year-old twins, Vivienne and Knox, although Viv has followed in big sister Shiloh’s footsteps and dropped “Pitt” from her name – at least professionally.
Yet an insider says Brad is determined to win his children around, especially Knox, who Ange herself has admitted is “a lot like Brad”.
“One of Knox’s favourite memories is building zombie compounds and vegie gardens at Miraval with his dad,” an insider says. “Knox has always been the peacemaker. He just wants everyone to get along.”
As a mother to her own twins, seven-year-old Alexander and Ella, Amal understands Brad’s longing to be there for his children. “She can’t imagine how Brad must feel, going through this,” the source adds.
Indeed, the absence of his kids from his life continues to weigh on Brad, but having friends like the Clooneys and girlfriend Ines in his corner has been a “great source of comfort”.
A source close to the actor told Daily Mail, “Brad has ongoing issues with being separated from his family. He has been dealing with personal issues which are very upsetting, and she is a support through that.”
INES IS BRAD’S PERFECT WOMAN
Rumour has it that Angelina never got along well with Amal, which ultimately led to Brad and George growing apart for a time. But from all accounts, Brad’s current partner Ines is “a really easygoing person” who has slotted in seamlessly with his circle of friends.
“The contrast with Angelina is obvious,” a source told the Daily Mail. “Ines gets along great with everyone, all of Brad’s friends.” Not only that, but Ines – who was previously married to Vampire Diaries actor Paul Wesley – is an accomplished woman in her own right. The jewellery executive, 31, holds a business degree from a Swiss university and is fluent in five languages – French, English, German, Spanish and Italian.
To top it off, Ines is also a seasoned skier from growing up near Lake Geneva and shares Brad’s love of wine and music!
They say the eyes are the window to the soul, but they don’t often say how to keep your eyes looking their best.
The skin around the eye area is one of the most delicate parts of our face so it is essential to pay close attention to it, treating it with thought and care.
As we age, our skin will naturally thin and we lose oils and hydration in our face – which becomes evident through fine lines and under eye bags. Which is why it’s so important to protect this delicate skin by boosting hydration and moisture into the area to keep it protected and target those symptoms should that be a priority.
So if you’re wanting to nail your skincare routine, ensure your under eyes are well looked after or perhaps nip wrinkles, bags and dryness in the bud, then read on to find our top picks for anti aging eye creams.
