All for the sake of his art! Channing Tatum was unrecognisable when he went undercover as an older man to promote Magic Mike XXL, giving movie-goers a giant surprise.
“I’m rounding up the boys to go to the premiere of Magic Mike XXL,” he told the Omaze cameras, before adding: “We gathered an unsuspecting group of fans… we’re gonna show them the movie in 3D, Now, to give the fans the best show possible, I’m going to go undercover and make sure that that happens.”
One of Hollywood’s biggest hunks dressed down as an older marketing executive, to ask the audience what they like about the film franchise and fooling them into thinking they were completing market research.
“Who’s your favourite actor,” he asked one unsuspecting fan, to which she replied: “Matthew McConaughey.”
As the audience arrived in the cinema they were given glasses so they could see the film in 3D, however instead of the film showing on the big screen a host of well-chiselled shirtless dancers took to the stage.
Watching in the corner was Channing, still in disguise as the marketing executive, before long one of the dancers gestured for him to join in the routine and what happened next blew the crowd away!
The actor had some moves of his own and twerked on a fan, before he began to remove the costume and was understandably met with eardrum-bursting screams.
Audience members can be seen fanning themselves off to cope with the excitement.
“Channing Tatum twerked on my lap, so in that sense I’ve reached pretty peak life,” one fan joked.
