This is the stuff of nightmares. A snake expert has captured shocking footage of him removing seven deadly copperheads from a 5-year-old girl’s bed.
Snake Man Raymond Hoser was called out by a Melbourne family who said there were snakes in their home and initially, Mr Hoser thought it might be a prank as copperheads can’t climb very well.
“When they said in the bed, I thought it was an escaped pet or a rubber snake,” he told Daily Mail Australia.
But sure enough, there were two adult snakes and five babies in the bed.
Mr Hoser then grabs them with his bare hands.
Scarily, he removes the snakes from underneath the little girl’s toys and pillow. You can watch the horrifying footage at the top.
He says they must have got onto the bed from climbing up the mess at the side. If that’s not a good reason to tidy up your room then we don’t know what is!
Mr Hoser is an expert in his field and runs Snakebusters an interactive reptile show. The self-proclaimed Snake Man also has to catch “between 300 and 400 snakes a year”.
He says that even baby copperheads can be deadly and the snakes that can be found in Melbourne – brown snakes, tiger snakes and copperheads – are among the top five deadliest in the world.
We’re pretty sure we’re going to be checking underneath our pillows for eternity after watching that video…
Only in Australia, huh?
