When Yulissa Arescurenaga took her first Zumba class in 2008, she wanted to become a professional instructor.
Fast forward to 2016 and the inspirational Californian has become her countryโs first Zumba instructor with Down syndrome.
The 24-year-old trained for six years โ and up to six hours a day โ to gain her accreditation which requires her to memorise dance routines and lead classes.
Sheโs now leading classes at Service High School in Alaska and regularly teaches classes in the San Francisco area.
What a true inspiration.
