A woman has splashed out approx AUD $36,000 in a bid to look like her idol, Kim Kardashian.
Over the past five years, Claire Leeson, has undergone a series of cosmetic procedures, including breast implants, teeth whitening and hair extensions in a personal pursuit to be exactly like the reality TV star.
Chatting with Ruth Langsford and Ben Shephard on ITV’s This Morning, the 24-year-old revealed that her obsession with the Keeping up with the Kardashians star began after she was told by school friends that she bared a striking resemblance to her.
And once she started watching the reality show in 2009, her fascination with the brunette beauty only grew. So much so that she was willing to do whatever it took and at any cost to look like her.
‘So I watched [the show] and realised I had the same amount of siblings and that we have the same kind of arguments and things going on,” Claire confessed.
‘I thought she was so beautiful and I really wanted to be like her.’
Claire, who says her desire to be like a Kardashian stems from years of being bullied in her childhood, also admitted to wearing bum padding, to replicate Kim’s famous derriere.
“It’s a silicone base. Pants with silicone inside,” she said.
She says eventually she would like to get buttock implants for a more permanent look.
‘They feel very real… and hopefully I will end up having that done because my bum is never going to be as big as Kim’s is.’
But her obsession comes with a price.
The Essex England resident revealed she is debt up to her eyeballs.
“I do work but the job I do doesn’t pay as much,” she said.
