Woman mistakenly kills her own daughter

She thought her 27-year-old daughter was an intruder

A mother in Florida, America has mistaken her daughter for an intruder, shooting her dead.

St. Cloud police Sergeant Denise Roberts said on Wednesday that the mother was asleep when she heard someone enter her home late on Tuesday, news.com.au reports.

She reportedly heard footsteps approaching quickly so fired a single shot, accidentally shooting her 27-year-old daughter.

The daughter was taken to hospital where she died.

Detectives are currently investigating the case but say so far the mother’s story matched the evidence.
