This wacky couple made their vows in a ghoulish ceremony, promising to love, honour and…decay.
When most brides dream of their wedding day, they imagine walking down the aisle in a floaty white gown to exchange romantic vows with their beloved.
But horror movie-loving couple Tracey and Andy Monaghan aren’t ones to bow to tradition. Instead, they proclaimed their love for each other in a zombie wedding! “It was Andy that first got me into horror films, so this idea was just perfect for us,” gushes bloodied bride Tracey, 29.
“Before I met him I’d only ever seen one horror film and that petrified me. I have obviously come a long, long way since then.”
The spectacularly spooky wedding started when Tracey entered the church wearing a black velvet dress and caked in bright red make-up. As her husband-to-be Andy stood nervously in his “human-skin suit”, smiling at his bride, Tracey slid down the aisle with “All we want to do is eat your brains”, lyrics from US singer Jonathan Coulton’s tune Your Brains, blaring out.
As the gruesome twosome recited their vows, Tracey promised Andy she would “care for you as we decay together”.
