Congratulations go out to The Block’s Shannon who married his long-time sweetheart Lisa in a romantic garden wedding last week.
The lovebirds, who started dating a little over a year ago, said their ‘I do’s’ against the extravagant backdrop of Sydney’s The Grounds of Alexandria on Thursday, September 25.
And Woman’s Day was lucky enough to score an invite to the beautiful boho-themed do, which will no doubt go down as the one of the happiest days of their lives.
When a sensitive Shannon, 35, caught sight of his gorgeous bride-to-be, he was overcome with emotion. And his blushing bride wasn’t far behind, also getting a little teary-eyed.
“The feelings I had were overwhelming,” says Shannon. “I’d waited for this for so long. She’s the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen. She just floors me every time I see her.”
Holding hands, the bride and groom exchanged vows in front of 80 close family and friends – including Shannon’s little brother and fellow Blockhead Simon.
“I love you for yourself, and I want you to become all that you can be,” promised Shannon.

“I want to be with you always, just as you are,” smiled Lisa.
There were more tears of joy at the reception when Shannon, the painter for Tasmania, read out his heartfelt speech to his wife.
“I love you now and I’ll love you tomorrow and every single day after that,” he said.
The duo have been friends since they were teens and as Woman’s Day recently revealed, the handsome surfer pulled out all the stops when surprising the love of his life with a truly unforgettable proposal the night before he moved into the Glasshouse.
Congratulations guys. Here’s to a long and happy marriage!
