Recently, Tom threw the first pitch with his foot at a San Francisco Giants game and it was a moment the people in the packed stadium will never forget.

Although for Tom, who isn’t one to make a fuss, this was just another moment that he was able to prove that people with disabilities have plenty of abilities.

This wasn’t the first time the 56-year-old has wowed a huge crowd. In 2008 he took to a San Diego Padres game to again throw the first pitch using only his legs.

According to his website Tom uses his feet and legs in most aspect of life “including writing, dressing, cooking, and even driving an automobile specially equipped with foot steering controls.”

The breath-taking moment is part of Tom’s Pitch for Awareness National Tour that allows him to “pitch his message of the awareness of the ABILITIES of persons with disabilities.”
