Tea with Prince Harry, a conversation with Julia Gillard and a visit with the British PM, all in a days work for Michelle Obama!

Michelle, Sasha and Malia Obama touched down in London on Tuesday and their first stop was for a nice cuppa at Kensington Palace with none other than Prince Harry.

Michelle and her daughters are in the British capital for a whirlwind two-day stop-over and as you know, no visit to England is complete without a spot of tea with the Prince in the Palace, duh!

Although countless world leaders have walked through those regal doors, even the staff of Kensington Palace couldn’t contain their excitement by the visit, tweeting, “Prince Harry was very pleased to host Mrs Michelle Obama @FLOTUS for tea at Kensington Palace this morning.”

Although we wish we could tell you that the Obama girls sat down with the Prince of Wales to discuss what their favourite song on Taylor Swift’s album is, they instead discussed much more serious issues.

The First Lady is in England to campaign for the world’s poorest girls to gain access to education as part of her Let Girls Learn initiative. Michelle and Harry also discussed their mutual interest in veteran affairs.

PThis wasn’t the first time these two world leaders have met, having previously caught up at the White House during Prince Harry’s visit to the US in 2013.

Before she popped by the palace, Mrs. Obama visited a school for girls in east London with most pupils identifying as a racial or religious minority.

Along with Australia’s former Prime Minister Julia Gillard, the political heavy-weights answered question and shared some wisdom.

The mum-of-two held back tears as she spoke to girls saying, “when I look out at all these young women I see myself – in so many ways your story is my story.”

If all that wasn’t enough the 51-year-old then called into 10 Downing Street to visit the British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha.

The Obama’s next stop is Italy.
