Pregnant teen kicked in stomach during Sydney home invasion

A man was also hit with a mallet during the attack

A pregnant 16-year-old was kicked in the stomach and a 37-year-old man was bashed in the head with a mallet when a group of people forced their way into a home in Sydney, police have alleged.

Around 2:30am, police were called to the address on Waratah Street in Cronulla after reports a group of people forced entry to the home and assaulted the occupants.

The man was taken to St George Hospital for treatment and remains in a serious but stable condition.

The girl was taken to Sutherland Hospital and is in a stable condition.

Police believe the girl is a friend of the nephew of the 37-year-old man who was assaulted at the home, however the other alleged victims are unrelated, ABC reports.

Seven people were arrested after police searched the area and police have said it is likely the charges would be laid later this morning.
