Police manhunt after four men gang rape a teenage girl

“It is an awful, terrible attack on a young girl”

A 14-year-old girl has been sexually assaulted twice by a group of males in a horrific attack in a Geelong park.

Police have said that the girl and a 14-year-old male friend were in a park in Geelong’s east when the men, who were allegedly intoxicated, gang approached them on Sunday around 4am.

Detective Senior Sergeant Jason Walsh said the opportunistic sexual assault was at the extreme level of seriousness.

“I’ve been in this game for 10 years and it is an awful, terrible attack on a young girl,” Sen Sgt Walsh told reporters on Wednesday.

Three of the men attacked her in the front yard of a nearby house while the male friend was pushed to the ground and kicked, before he ran for assistance.

The girl was allegedly taken by one of the men to a nearby house where she was sexually assaulted again.

“She is absolutely devastated and traumatised by what has happened,” said Sen Sgt Walsh.

“What she has told us is horrific and awful.”

Police located the female around 5am in the vicinity of the park and have since released face images of the males they believe can assist them with their enquires:

Aged 25-30, 183cm tall with solid and muscly build and unshaven stubble on his face. He was bare chested with tattoos which may have been tribal along the length of both arms and across the chest. This male was wearing jeans and was possibly bare footed and spoke with an English accent.

Aged in his mid 20’s, 178cm tall with a bulky build and clean shaven face. He was wearing white long sleeve plain t-shirt top and black jeans.

Youngish looking, 173cm and had a thick black beard. He was wearing a long sleeve black t-shirt with no collar and blue jeans and spoke with an Australian accent.

Aged in his mid 30’s, 184 cm in height, unshaven stubble on his face and with a bulky build. He was wearing a short sleeve black t-shirt and possibly spoke with an English accent.
