When Trisha Ross realised her 16-month-old daughter could see Mummy, all her Christmases came at once.
It was the greatest Christmas present Trisha Ross could have received after her daughter was diagnosed with a genetic disorder which hindered her ability to see.
In a breathtaking moment that filled the doting Melbourne mum with joy, her severely vision-impaired baby girl Scarlett focused on Trisha’s face for the first time, and gave her a truly beautiful smile.
“I’ll never forget it,” Trisha recalled as her eyes filled with tears. “It was then that I realised Scarlett could actually see me.”
