Little Aussie miracle: Our baby can see in time for Christmas

In this week’s issue of Woman’s Day we meet the incredible baby Scarlett who got her vision back just in time for Christmas.

When Trisha Ross realised her 16-month-old daughter could see Mummy, all her Christmases came at once.

It was the greatest Christmas present Trisha Ross could have received after her daughter was diagnosed with a genetic disorder which hindered her ability to see.

In a breathtaking moment that filled the doting Melbourne mum with
joy, her severely vision-impaired baby girl Scarlett focused on Trisha’s face for the first time, and gave her
a truly beautiful smile.

“I’ll never forget it,” Trisha recalled as her eyes filled with tears. “It was then that I realised Scarlett could actually see me.”
