Natalie and Mark’s wacky Wonka wedding!

Natalie and Mark's wacky Wonka wedding!

Oompa-Loompas and lollies galore were just the ticket for these sweet lovers.

As Mark Brian stood nervously waiting for his bride, the guests barely batted an eyelid at his unusually dapper purple frock coat and impressive top hat.

Instead, they were busily sampling the oozing chocolate fountains dotted around the garden and tucking into the lollipops and prettily wrapped sweets dangling from the surrounding trees.

With a giant bubble machine helping to recreate a scene straight from the 1971 film Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, childhood sweethearts Mark and Natalie Whiteight tied the knot in a lavish celebration – complete with Oompa-Loompas – themed on their favourite story.

All it took was a little imagination, says Mark, 30, and Natalie, 32, who are both big fans of the 1960s Roald Dahl book Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, on which the film is based. And when you add the fact that Mark’s family are in the chocolate business, well, a Wonka theme seemed only natural.

“We wanted a really chilled-out wedding,” Natalie explains. “Mark’s family own a chocolate factory, and when we stumbled across a website where we could hire ‘small men’, we thought, ‘What a coincidence – let’s buy some Oompa-Loompas!’”
