Helen Andreski searched through hundreds of online celebrity photos, feverishly clicking “save” on all of her favourites. But it wasn’t the gorgeous dresses or hairstyles that caught her attention – it was the bums!

“I like the way curvy butts look,” says the 19-year-old. “I love J-Lo’s bum but I wanted to go a bit bigger. I’d been thinking about it since I was young. My mum, my sisters… everyone thought I was crazy, but I didn’t care. I knew what I wanted and that kind of figure with the small waist and large bum is not something you can get from exercise.”

For six months, Helen saved every cent from her airport security job, even volunteering for 12-hour shifts, so she could one day go under the knife. Then when she chanced on a TV ad for the Beverly Wilshire Medical Centre in Malaysia, she knew her dream was in reach.

“The 430cc implants were $10,000 and my fat transfer was $1000. In Australia the surgery was more than $20,000,” she explains.
