A New Zealand mother is facing jail time after admitting she was paid by a neighbour for regular sexual visits with her nine-year-old daughter in exchange for cash.
According to news.com.au the woman, 47 pleaded guilty in the High Court to being party to sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection and party to attempted sexual violation.
The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, lived with her daughter in Auckland.
It is understood the mother told the man – who was in his late 60s – that she needed money for school lunches.
They devised a shocking system where the man would routinely come to the house while the girls father was out and spend time with the girl for sexual gratification.
“The man would turn up at their house while the girl’s father was out and take the girl into a bedroom and violate her while the mother sat outside watching TV,” news.com.au reports.
After each visit he would leave the girl between AUD $8 and $30.
The mother would threaten the girl to participate saying: “just do what he says or I’ll give you a hiding” and “just do what he says and I will be happy”.
She faces a maximum 20 years jail and will be sentenced on September 25.
