You know how it is, you go travelling and you want to try all of the local cuisine but ordering in another language can be tricky.
Thankfully some local restaurateurs have kindly made their menus more tourist-friendly by translating some of the dishes on offer but sometimes those translations sound far less appetising.
Anyone for some “burned wang”?
Very confusing indeed.
Why on earth would you pay more for “real chicken”?
“Have you tried the wikipedia here? I hear it’s very good.”
Nothing better than a bespoke menu just for you and your family.
If you say so.
Obviously it would be rude not the try the local cuisine served the traditional way.
Poor Wang. Hope he’s okay.
The signature dish of the First Wives Club, obviously.
Every sixteen-year-old girl’s favorite.
Hmmmm…
No thanks.
We are confused already.
NEW RULE: If you can’t find it on Google, we’re not eating it.
This is a dish we don’t want to try.
