Man released on bail over alleged gang rape of Geelong schoolgirl

There have been more developments in the case

Brodie Wild, one of the four men from the same family charged over the alleged gang rape of a 14-year-old girl in Geelong, has been released on bail.

Rowan Gavin Wild, 27, and relatives Brodie, 20, Allan Mark Wild, 29, and Kevin Andrew Wild, 28, are each charged with one count of rape and one of abduction, following the alleged rape of the girl in the early hours of November 1 in the Geelong suburb of St Albans Park.

Detective Senior Constable Lisa Johnson told the court Brodie was extradited from Queensland after being charged with the rape.

The 20-year-old was already on bail at the time of his arrest for unrelated drug matters in Queensland.

Det Johnson-Boe said Brodie denied sexually assaulting the girl, but said he confirmed she accompanied them to two properties in St Albans Park and had “kissed” his brother Kevin, it’s reported.

Det Johnson-Boe said Brodie voluntarily gave a statement and surrendered a DNA sample to police.

Earlier in the week, Brodie’s brother Rowan was bailed after he was charged with single counts of rape and abduction after handing himself into police on Tuesday.
