A man has been charged with assault after punching 16-month-old baby in the face.
The assault occurred at Sydney’s Central Train Station at around 11.30am this morning, where a man allegedly approached the toddler in her pram and her parents outside a café on Eddy Ave and punched the baby.
The attack, which was unprovoked, left the baby girl with a laceration on her face.
The man, 28, was immediately charged by Sydney City Local Area Command with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, after being found in a nearby building on Pitt Street.
After a plea, the man was refused bail.
The little girl has since been treated by local paramedics, and appears to have sustained no serious injuries.
