Police have announced that 11-year-old, Luke Shambrook was found just before midday off Skyline Road.
Rick Newton from Victoria Police said Luke was being treated by paramedics.
“[The] police helicopter spotted Luke walking in bush about three kilometres from where he went missing on Friday,” he said.
“The helicopter has directed police and paramedics and searchers into that area and recovered Luke.
“We are told Luke is well, [but] he is exhausted, he is suffering hypothermia and he is also dehydrated.
“He’s being treated by paramedics in the bush before they bring him out to an ambulance where he’ll then undergo some medical tests.”
The police expressed their appreciation towards “the immense amount of community support”.
The 11-year-old went missing from the Victorian campground at around 9.30am on Good Friday.
His disappearance led to a huge ground and air search and on April 6th searchers stumbled across a beanie, believed to belong to the young boy.
Despite the rough terrain of the Victorian site, police remained hopeful and vigilant in their search for Luke.
“We’re still hopeful that Luke will be found alive,” Acting Senior Sergeant Andrew Walker said.
“And I think everyone involved in this search – family and friends and volunteers – are hopeful as well.”
The Shambrook family released a statement thanking everyone involved in the search.
“We continue to express our thanks to all involved in searching for Luke,” the family said.
“Everyone’s ongoing involvement and support is overwhelming and still greatly needed.”
