“I know people think I did it; that my parents did it. I know that we were suspects ,” Burke reveals.

The three-part interview, which will air from September 12, marks the first time Burke has spoken publicly about the unsolved mystery.

In another conversation, Dr. Phil asks, “Has it ever occurred to you that your parents actually thought you did this and didn’t ask you because they didn’t want to know?”

The TV special will also show never-before-seen “secret interrogation tapes with Burke.”

In December 1996, the beautiful blonde beauty queen was discovered by her father John, beaten and strangled with a cord around her neck.

In a terrible turn of events, the focus soon shifted to JonBenet’s parents Patsy and John. While there was never enough evidence to charge them, that didn’t stop the tide of public opinion turning against them. Reports also alleged Burke murdered his sister.

Patsy and John were finally cleared of any involvement from her death in 2008.

This December marks 20 years since the six-year-old was murdered in her Colorado home.

Reflecting on his sibling’s terrible death, Burke tells Dr. Phil: “I remember my mum searching my room that night saying, ‘Where’s my baby? Where’s my baby?’”

“I remember the viewing. The casket was small. Her eyes were closed.”

As for why he is finally breaking his silence some 20 years later, Burke says he wants to pay tribute to his fallen sister.
