A 14-year-old girl has disappeared after inviting a teen she met on Facebook to her Melbourne home.
Jade Robson-Whitehouse has been missing since 8pm on Saturday when she arrived at her home in Junction Village, in south-east Melbourne, with a girl she claimed to have met on Facebook.
Jade asked her stepmother Tracey Harris if the girl – who was later discovered to have used a fake name – could sleep over.
When Tracey declined and offered to drive the girl home, the pair vanished and has not been seen since, leaving Jade’s parents terrified.
“The girl she left with, we don’t know who she is, we’ve never met her before. Nobody at school knows the girl,” Tracey told The Leader.
“It’s horrific. I can’t sleep, I can’t eat. I cannot explain it. It’s just horrible.”
Jade is reported to have been in touch with friends on social media. She is described as being 150cm tall with a slim build, long auburn hair and green and brown eyes.
Victorian Police are very concerned for her welfare and urge anyone who sees her to call Triple Zero immediately.
