A young British girl selflessly volunteered to have her head shaved in an effort to raise money for the hospice that cared for her dying dad.
10-year-old Tallulah Lewis-Schulz from Shrewsbury, England lost her dad Andreas on May 26, after he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier this year.
It was just three weeks after his diagnosis that he was brought to Severn Hospice in Shrewsbury, England. While staying at the hospice, and just three days before he passed away, he married Tallulahโs mother, Sarah Lewis-Shulz.
Earlier this week, Tallulah had heard a radio campaign featuring โBrave the Shaveโ, a cause where people shave their heads to raise funds for cancer patients.
โWe started talking about it and Tallulah said to me โOh I would do that and raise the money for the hospice and to thank them for all the support they gave to our family,'โ she told ABC News
โI said โLook, why donโt you think about it and let me know.'โ
But, three days later, Tallulah had made up her mind and received a buzz cut in front of her classmates.
Over 12 inches of hair will be donated and turned into a wig for a child whoโs lost his or her hair from cancer treatment.
The family has set up a page on Justgiving.com to collect donations for Severn Hospice.
