When an officer dies in the Hildago County Sheriff’s Office, Texas, they are honoured with a call out on the radio known as the “last call.”
This honour was extended to Argo, a well-loved police dog who was recently put down after being diagnosed with terminal bone cancer reports Pickle.
Surrounded by his human family, Argo listened to his tribute on the radio in the final moments before he was put down.
The Czech German Shepard was a narcotics detection dog who was described by the Sheriff’s office as “skilled and relentless”.
In his career he was credited with taking thousands of kilograms of drugs off the Texan streets.
