Celebrities are known to opt for out-of-the-ordinary baby names, choosing everything from to Bear to Apple, but one mum has taken strange baby names a step further, naming her newborn daughter Hashtag.
The US mum, whose name has not been disclosed, was proud to present her daughter to the world via Facebook, including the techno moniker that will forever tie her to generation Y.
“Hashtag Jameson was born at 10 oclock last nite,” the Facebook post reads.
“She weys 8pounds and I luv her so much.”
Baby Hashtag joins the long list of unusual baby names that have been shared recently, including Facebook, Eh, Moo, Falcon and Thor.
