‘Worst magic carpet ever’: IKEA flooded with prank reviews

While there is nothing funny about flat pack furniture, one LA comedian is injecting a little humour to IKEA stores with prank reviews.

IKEA is not generally known for making people laugh, in fact flat packed furniture is often a source of frustration and tears.

One LA based internet comedian has taken it upon himself to inject a little mirth into IKEA stores by adopting guerilla tactics and dropping prank product reviews onto products.

In his lark Jeff Wysaski, of [Obvious Plant] (http://obviousplant.tumblr.com/|target=”_blank”), cracks jokes about Narnia, and dub step, and outs himself as having a penchant for serpent humour with a number of jokes being about snakes.

When asked why he decided to prank IKEA, Mr Wysaski told MailOnline – “The average trip to the store – or just out in the world in general – is often so mundane and uneventful.

“I’m just trying to give people a laugh or memorable encounter where they weren’t expecting one.

“Reviews are ubiquitous online, but in the store you don’t have the advantage of seeing what other shoppers thought of the products. After I had this thought, it seemed fun to make up some ridiculous reviews and place them in the store.”
