Harriette first introduced her daughter Billie to Woman's Day back in August.

It’s been more than seven months since the Martin Place tragedy, and now Harriette Denny reveals to Woman’s Day magazine why she finally has a reason to smile again.

For the brave survivor not a day goes by when she doesn’t grieve for the ones who didn’t make it: lawyer Katrina Dawson and Harriette’s friend and colleague Tori Johnson.

Sitting down with Woman’s Day Harriette tells us the incredible love she and long-time partner Jorge Bonora, 40, have for Billie is helping heal her shattered heart.

“I smile now because of Billie – she’s the reason I get up in the morning,” says Harriette, her gaze still fixed on her little bundle of joy. “We just love her so much, and she knows it.”

Her tale is one of resilience and as she chats to Woman’s Day, it is clear her darling girl has helped her come such a long way.
