With an average summer temperature below 25 degrees, Mittagong, NSW might not sound like the ideal place for a nudist hotel. But River Island Nature Retreat is full of surprises.
A clothing-optional holiday park on the banks of the Wollondilly River, this retreat has 809 hectares of Australian bush. We chatted to Rainer Mueckenberger, the owner of Noosa Edge Nudist Retreat in Doonan, Qld.
✰How long has the retreat run for?
It has been open for six years. A lot of couples lose their connection over time and their love life falls apart. These couples can rejuvenate their relationships at our retreat.
✰What services do you offer?
There’s a lot to see, both inside and outside. You can hike around the bush naked or you can book our bondage room and man-made cave for private, sensual experiences. We also host adult parties where contraception is provided.
✰Is the retreat open to non-sexual nudists?
Over 85 per cent of nudists are sexually active but if you’re not looking for that type of fun you can still enjoy our retreat. We’re strict about people not getting intimate in public places.
✰What is your main purpose?
We’re focused on holistic healing, whether that involves sexual intimacy or not.
