They say, behind every great man there’s an even greater woman. And in the case of former NRL heartthrob Beau Ryan, there’s two.
While most women would have been mortified watching their hunky husband strip down to nothing on national television after losing a bet to host The NRL Footy Show butt-naked should NSW win the State of Origin, Kara Ryan, 28, simply shrugged it off.
In an exclusive chat with Woman’s Day, the wife of the recently retired Cronulla Sharks player has bared all.
“With Beau, I’m never surprised- nothing fazes me anymore,” the blonde beauty said.
“I had no doubt he’d do it. He’s quite happy to streak. It’s something his family and friends are quite aware of.”
And while it can’t be easy being married to one of the sexiest men in Australia, a confident Kara just takes in all in her stride.
“He’s always been sexy in my eyes,” she said.
“If you look too much into it any girl would drive themselves crazy, but he’s a TV personality and a sex symbol. It’s a job.”
Despite all the achievements and recent attention, for Beau, 29 and his longtime love, Kara, their greatest achievement by far is their adorable daughter Remi, 1, who has dad wrapped around her little finger.
“I always put Remi first…I’m probably too loving. I’m always kissing her. Kara tells me to get out of her face but I just want to squeeze her,” Beau said.
No doubt a protective father, Beau admits he’s already planning for that day when his little girl brings home a boy.
“When he comes over I’ll have to have a few of my intimidating mates around just to make sure he doesn’t cross the line.”
Meanwhile, the couple haven’t denied the possibility of extending their family.
“We want to have another Remi and I know it’ll be a girl- I’m surrounded by women,” Beau said.
