Shocking footage has emerged of a Chinese grandmother bathing her crying grandson in filthy water.
The video, uploaded on August 8, shows the child visibly distressed as his grandmother holds him by the arms and dunks him in and out of muddy street water in the city of Wuhan, Hebei province.
According to The People’s Daily, the woman told horrified witnesses that the practice would boost his immune system.
“This is how our children were brought up. It’s no problem,” she said.
People have been very critical of her reasoning – many pointing out that things might have changed since she was a child.
